Greece were awful. Congratulations to Korea on their 2-0 victory, the first of the tournament. Greece were not the same organized defensive team they were at euro 2004. They were quite sloppy at the back actually. And they posed no real offensive attack until late in the game, already down 2-0.

Question for people that saw the first game: What did you guys think about Paul Aguilar?

I've seen a couple of euro soccer sites that ranked him as the 3rd best Mexican player behind Dos Santos and Marquez.  Then I hear that some european clubs are interested in him and are scouting him in the World Cup.  What's really funny is that it seems that he was one that was criticized the most from fans?!  I personally thought he had a solid game, is just that his crosses were off...but then again he didn't really receive much help when the ball went through him. 

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the opening game.

Gourcuff was horrible, just like Anelka (one of the most overrated players ever). And Govou was not existant. WTF is wrong with Domenech. Malouda really improved @ Chelsea, and Benzema... I dont know, but he can't be worse than the others. France was really really weak. If Urugay had  had 1 decent player besides  Forlan yesaterday, they would've won this. But Suarez and co were shit. Still, props to Urugay, their courageos fighting was the only highlight of yesterdays game.

If they would have played with somebody else up front with Anelka, Uruguay would have dominated the game instead because of the midfield advantage.  What Anelka needed to do was not try and take on everybody lol

Well I regularly watch the Africa Cup, so I'm used to them. They don't bother me no more. But it must be really annoying for the players.

ARG - NGA was great, shame Messi didn't score.

I think it was far from great- because it was too one-sided. ARG was pretty good, but Nigeria was like I expected them- shitty. You never had the feeling Nigeria could score the equaliser (because we all know African teams can't shoot), but their defense was wack. This could've ended 4:0 or 5:1.

Korea- Nigeria could be an interesting game, but I think ARG and Korea go through.

Glad Messi didn't score, fuck him    Argentina would have won by way more than 1 if wasn't for the Nigeria keeper and some horrible finishing by Higuain. Milito should start. Anyone else notice how terrible Veron was? Every shot attempt was atrocious and far worse than that, he kept giving the ball away in mid field.
