this is the first time i've ever heard this song...so i don't know how "big" it is (pause).

i would have to say, EASILY, something by the Black Eyed Peas is your winner here though.

lol @ Pause looooooooooooooooooool

but yeah never heard it...

Biggest single in the last 5 years ummmm Hate it or love it -The Game ?

How we do - The game featuring 50 cent? i think that would be more accurate.

edit** while i posted i saw someone wrote BEP... yeah true they are from the West..

yeah yo, that whole new album is full of monster singles.

It's unfortunate that they chose California to be their home.

yeah but i mean i find BEP is in another category then hip hop.
Then again when dealing with hip hop now there is sub genres of hip hop just like rock now.

BEP certainly isn't hip hop, but neither what was originally posted.

if it's straight hip hop, you can't count "Sexual Seduction" either.

so unless you count "My Life", which wasn't that major or "One Blood", which wasn't that major, i guess the last biggest single from the West was "How We Do" or "Hate It or Love It".

i don't mean to take this thread in another direction, but notice Game only had mainstream success when he was fucking around with 50, who just so happened to write all the hooks to his biggest songs & was fucking with Em & Dre too. ;D

well if you're telling me a Ya Boy song was huge, then i would imagine anything Game does feels groundbreaking on the radio lol.

the only not well known West Coast artist we've ever got on the radio was Jay Rock's "All My Life", only because of Wayne. :P

anyway, on a national scale "One Blood" was a dope single, but it wasn't "super-dope-Lollipop-level-huge" (lol) & Game used the Reggae appeal to his advantage, otherwise it wouldn't have even done as good as it did.

I've actually never heard "We Run LA". But isn't Ya Boy from the Bay Area? Lame.

they play this shit 24/7 on power 106 and all of those pop stations in LA. Ray J is what makes the song.

Same can be said for most of Crooked I's Death Row material  :o
