aite where do you rank these tho

how we do
higher
westside story
get up (energy on this song is mad dope)
outta control remix (effex on this song are mad dope too)

in terms of the entire song; Outta Control Remix > Westside Story > Higher > How We Do > Outta Control OG > Get Up.

whats so "next level" about the get up beat? it sounded like a generic club production with a repetitive melody, and 50 was weak on it to.

Yeah, for real. "Get Up" was weak. Only good thing about the song is the first sound when the song starts.

ok my last post on 'get up'...the thing is it still sounds like a relative skeleton beat to me...considering the live version and how extra instruments were added in easily. but the drums are ridicolous - if dre can do something on that kinda energy but with more varied instrumentation....then 8)

i'm curious to hear what he has given game - if its the more crisp, live sounds with a dose of funk - what i would consider the real next level, or some generic relapse style leftovers...

How we do is mutherfuckin bangin! That shit was club/street music at its finest in 'recent' times. Both 50 and game killed that shit. Freshh liike UHHH...and the 50 lines be straight ballin, matty know wut up when it comes to how we do.

As for this album...cats cant understand the hype? lol...Dude back with dre, back with aftermath for first time since documentary, working with pharell, working with rza and the rest of them niggaz and he USUALLY comes correct on an album...2 outta three still...regardless of recent joints, the hype is easily understandable. get it? lol

This im looking forward to way more than albums like relapse 2. This shit better drop this summer! Thats when i predicted, i think it'll be out by then...i hope!

i dont post much but I thought Id throw my opinion in the mix. To start I think the reason the hype for this album is getting bigger without even having a single to go from is because of the Game/Dre reunion. I am a Game fan and I think most of the Game fans will agree that ever since the split between Game and the Aftermath camp everyone has been waiting for a reunion between Game/Dre. Its been talked about for a long time and it has finally happened. That would explain some of the hype, I also think people are intrested to see what Game/Pharell have come up with, Now Pharell has been a big influence in many careers and has done some great things for some artists. I think people are getting hyped about this idea of Game/Pharell/Dre.

Think about it, Game has recieved criticism on his last two albums because of lack of direction and lack of content. Why? because he was in charge. This time he let Pharell/Dre take the reigns and give him direction and criticism, this will insure an album that is on par with the Documentary. Simply because he has real Producers as Executive Producers, which means it will flow properly and will be mixed properly. I trust in Dre's ability to mix an album down well, and Pharells ability to direct an artist on how appeal to the current market (not saying hes gonna sound like soulja Boy, dont take it out of context).  also I wouldnt compare those tracks like How We Do and Higher, They both go hard and good tracks but they arent the same type of song Get Up is, Too different types of song shouldnt be compared. As far as I see it they are all good in their own way. Lets focus on whats to come. and to the people who been passing judgment based on the tracks Game has released so far, You guys dont get it. Game release bullshit music before his albums come out cause he is sitting on the tracks worth keeping, Hes not going to give you quality shit till the Album comes out and the quality leftovers will come out afterwards. but rightnow its going to be just the bullshit fucking around music. this is his usual M.O.

word, 'how we do' is just a classic club track. gangsta-pop crossover at its finest, trademark dre. launched game's career like 'in da club' did for 50. i'm sure everyone has heard it blasting in a club, the beat is straight ill 8)

for that reason i would probably say its the best track on the documentary and definitely his best single. the only other one that comes close is 'hate it or love it' and they both have 50 on them

Good post.

Game doesnt always release bullshit music between albums though, between the documentary and DA, some of games best mixtape joints came out and before documentary came out, game released some nice stuff too.

I think the best thing to judge about the music prior to an album coming out is the form of the cat spitting rather than the joint because the joint usually aint gonna be on some next hype but the way a cat spits can AT TIMES tell of if a nigga going to come correct or not and games sounding solid. So hopefully on the album he'll come straight, especially with dre n pharell looking over it.

Only thing i disagree with was how we do in comparison to get up...i think they can be compared and i think how we do is much better. They both looking to be club joints which get street credibility too. How we do had it. Get ups a nice joint but its not of that level.

Also games last album lacked direction without doubt but DA is the album which arguebaly had the most consistant direction/sound. Whether its as dope as documentary or not, is very subjective. I know loads of people who prefer documentary and loads who prefer DA (As an album i prefer DA...for certain joints, i prefer Documentary fo its more replayable production)...

anyway dope post homie!

to be honest i don't think anyone is really excited or cares for the game/pharrell side of things, pharell's beats haven't been all that for quite a long time. i'd rather hear game on more khalil and timbaland tracks. the hype, at least on here, is purely off the dre reunion like you mention. and why not, it's unlikely that dre would have given him relapse style beats. there could be some serious heat on r.e.d. and it'll definitely be better than L.A.X. by a long way.

the great thing is game normally releases leftovers, some of which are better than album cuts, before, around and after his album releases. but 'white soft porn' better be on the final tracklist and he's silly for not getting actual production from Quik. Iovine is undoubtedly calling the shots when it comes to the final album and timing of the release. he's very likely responsible for the dre reunion in the first place...

I agree that 'How We Do' is a better track than 'Get Up' overall. On the beats alone its close, 'Get Up' is more advanced in terms of the drums, but 'How We Do' wins as the best all round track.

and where is the BWS artists on the album?

like i've been saying game doesn't really have a say to put them on his albums cuz the songs won't make it. Jimmy Iovine sets up artists with game and production and shit like that.

Get your walk on....I dont understand why you hate on game so hard lol Dude definitely writeshis own shit, i know that for a fact. So when something dope comes out you automatically say game must have not written that song lol be real game ghost writes for people why wouldn't he write his own shit
