With Q-Tip, RZA and Pete Rock, 3 producers who Kanye modeled his original sound after, I am sure Kanye will comeback refreshed and back to his roots. And not a moment too soon, Hip-Hop NEEDS Kanye to be on top of his game if Hip-Hop it's self wants to strive.

Hasn't Kanye always had outside producers on his albums? And I don't mean like in a Dr. Dre "co-producer" way. I don't have his last album but I'm pretty sure the first three had at least a few songs that were produced by other producers. Obviously, he produces the bulk because as an artist, he knows he wants but I don't find him bringing other people into the fold to be that odd.

I liked 808s production sound.  Granted it doesn't work with many artist vocal styles but Jeezy sounds amazing over the tweaked 808s.

My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter

He got that style from Q-Tip, RZA and Pete Rock. In College Dropout he called himself the new age Pete Rock. The other producer he models himself after is Dr. Dre, but his busy not releasing Detox...  ;)

Kanye is a producer before an MC, don't get why he wouldn't produce his whole album by himself.  But those three are fantastic producers so I'm sure it won't hurt.

I'd rather he use these producers. Kanye West has made it very clear over his past two albums that he can't make a decent hip-hop beat for himself anymore. If he wants to continue making pop music then thats cool, I wish him luck, but if his next LP sounds anything like 808s did then he's lost a one-time fan in me.

Kanye was an mc/rapper before he was a producer. He only started making beats to rap over his own shit.

really? i heard that Kanye been making beats since he was a kid.

Kanye started out as a rapper when he was underground/not signed to a major label. But mainstream Kanye became well known as a producer first as labels were hesitant to market a 'non street' rapper. He said himself in an interview a few years ago, that he only starting producing so that he would have something to rap his own shit over.

Dude was ghost producing for D-Dot aka the Mad Rapper WAY before he was rapping. Check his interviews. He ghost produced a ton of shit for him in the 90's.
