Appetite for destruction

I was listenin to that new slash's album and it made me reminisce about when I was 11 back in 1992 and my cousin first showed me this classic album. bein a black kid from chicago I wasn't really into rock but I knew who these guys were, my cousin from cali was deep into that though, so he said I should listen to this album and I was like nah nigga fuck that rock shit, plain ignorant because when I first heard it I was blown away. tracks like welcome to the jungle, nightrain, out ta get me, paradise city, I mean that whole album is classic. from then on I got more into all types of rock discoverin everything from led zeppelin to eric clapton to bruce springsteen and the list goes on. hip hop is my favorite genre, I mean I grew up with hip hop, like my way of life but this album gave me a whole new perspective on music, I felt good listenin to this "rock shit". they made some great albums and classic tracks after this but no one could touch this. also that line up from back ind the day was sick.

know where you are?

this just makes me wanna get fucked up

I've got somethin I've been buildin up inside, for so fuckin long!
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Sg8Mzqgq_js&amp;hl=pt_PT&amp;fs=1&amp;" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/Sg8Mzqgq_js&amp;hl=pt_PT&amp;fs=1&amp;</a>

where the grass is green and the girls are pretty
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/btLRy4EHF0k&amp;hl=pt_PT&amp;fs=1&amp;" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/btLRy4EHF0k&amp;hl=pt_PT&amp;fs=1&amp;</a>

of course I could post up the whole album because all the songs are classic imo, includin sweet child, maybe their most famous song.

At times I felt Lies was on par with this... this was just a bigger piece of history based on impact... Straight Classic. I wouldn't know where in my top ten I would put it but I know I wouldn't make a top ten without it 8)

I think Use Your Illusion could have competed with Appetite quality and sales wise if it were released as a single album of about 11 songs.

Was listening to this the other day.
Everything from the sound , the look, the attitude Guns n Roses had it all.
Its a shame im sure they would of had a few more good albums in them.
If you think about compared to other rock groups like the stones, metallica, aeromsith they realy dint have a long run.

I still would have preferred Appetite but

Dust and Bones
Don't Cry
November Rain
Coma
You Could Be Mine
14 Years
Dead Horse
Civil War
Double Talkin Jive
Bad Obsession
Enstranged

Would have been easilt one of the top albums of the 90s for me.

maybe I would add perfect crime, yesterdays, get in the ring, pretty tied up and knockin on heaven's door (just as a homage to dylan) but if it had to be only 11 tracks it would be tough to decide. good choice nontheless. and yeah, I think I would prefer appetite still but that one would be pretty close.

Since your first post mentioned GnR started you out into Rock and the last name you mentioned was Springsteen;

I'll be seeing Guns N Roses live this summer as theyre headlining a festival I'm going to (Leeds). Not exactly the same these days as its basically just Axl Rose and some randoms rather than Slash and the gang but the classics will still be played.

nice choice too but like I've said, it's hard to decide.
