Makaveli - "Warchest 2003 (The Second Coming)"
« on: December 05, 2002, 09:21:45 PM »
2Pac
Warchest 2003 (The Second Coming)
End of 2003
Tha Row Records

This album is due in February of next year.  It's supposed to be the LAST (LOL) album of unreleased Makaveli material to be released.  And I think this time no Amaru, so it should be interesting.

Yawn...

(Knocc Out, that ain't a diss to you for reporting this at all. I just heard some of Better dayz today and it sucked so fucking bad that I just cringe at any more sub-bar bullshit fucking up Pac's legacy. I hate to even see the name "Makaveli" on it - no other posthumous release will ever come close to what he did with the 7 Day album)

Yeah thas cause that was the last album Pac released while he was alive...even though he died...he wanted these songs to be put out.  Unlike Suge & Afeni who are pciking for him now.

WTF does Warchest mean?!

I know for sure that he intended for "Fortune & Fame" ("Fame" from "Better Dayz") to be released, and i'm sure some of the others that have been released he would of released himself too, just not in the same format as the versions being released now. He did say in a few interviews that he had so much material recorded that if something were to happen to him he would still be able to support his family by letting them release it, so I think alot of people are too hard on Afeni at times.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Well before Suge was released I would have looked forward to this type of album cause I would have thought that Suge would be more likely to pick all the raw stuff, whereas Afeni prefers the deep tracks. However now I can just see this being an opportunity for Tha Row to put as many of their artists as possible onto tracks, deleting verses by Tha Outlawz, Storm etc before putting them on. Now, if there are a few unfinished tracks which need one more verse then I have no problem in Kurupt doing a verse on them, but when they take away perfectly good verses and then replace them with bullshit that really pisses me off big time.

Knowing Tha Row, February will probably turn into December, if the Crooked I album fiasco is anything to go by.

looks like its the new 2pac album MAKAVELI - Second coming after suge knight speaking on the westwood show on radio 1.

From Radio 1.

Rapper Tupac Shakur may have been dead for over six years but that still hasn't stopped the man from flying high on America's Billboard Albums Chart. Shakur shifted over 300,000 copies of his latest posthumous release Better Dayz during it's first seven days to debut at number 5 and number 1 on the R&B Chart. Better Dayz is the fifth album released since the rapper's murder in Las Vegas in 1996, but the well is far from dry even yet it would seem. In fact Suge Knight, the boss of Shakur's label Tha Row Records, says some of the artists best material is still to come.

"We're putting together another album that will really represent the best of Pac. All the other stuff that has come before, even on the new record...it's good, but Pac didn't make alot of it with the intention of it being released. Pac was that good that we can put these songs out, but few of them were made for the public to hear. The tracks we're working with now though, they are what you could call real songs. They were made for the album that was to come out after Makaveli. Pac had finished Makaveli when he died and was already 15 or so songs into his next album. It was untitled but Pac wanted to put it out on Christmas day. He wanted to set a record for having three albums in a year. He was so driven, and these songs are amazing, they are the best Pac you will ever hear. There's this one song "Vaults Of The Dead", that will shock alot of people even now. There's another one called "America Eats Its Own", and then there's "Please Do". That is the angriest Pac you will ever hear, it's like Hit Em Up x 100 in terms of how mad he is. Pac recorded another track called "Guns To Ground" that opposed the violence that filled alot of his music but not in a hypocritical way. And then we've got "Tales From The Crib". That is the real song he did with Madonna, but I don't know whether we are going to put that one out or not. It's like the J.Lo thing. Madonna's married with kids now. Back then she was still real wild. They even talked about doing a video for that song, but yeah. We'll have to see about that one."

Knight, who was released from prison last August after four and a half years for parole violation also said Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur is trying to paint a different picture of the rapper by watering down some of the slain emcees lyrics.

"We coming from different places. I want people to have the real Pac, the good the bad...everything. And to do that I think we have to represent his work in the correct manner. This new album we're going to put out. Like I say, it's all real. The beats, the songs are complete. It's Pac at his very best, Pac during his last days. After we put this album out though then that's it, Tupac can fly free of Death Row. That will be it as far as we are concerned. I've got new artists with me now, people who need me to direct and guide their career's like I did for Pac."

Exclusive News From THA ROW Admin:

A few days ago a stories was written up on message boards about Suge on BBC stating we are releasing a new makaveli record soon. The article even went into to detail listing fake track titles and descriptions. When I read the message I knew it wasnt true but to be 100% sure I put in a call to Suge, he hit me back a few later and let me know it was not real at all. Now my question is this... the fake article has surfaced on many unofficial hip hop and 2pac sites online. Are the news reporters for thses sites not researching their stories before they post them? The shame about it is its sites we like such as 2pac-outlawz, Madeniggaz, and others. In the future I would suggest all news reporters that post news to please check your sources or do research on the subject matter.

Once again the article in question is completely false and from now any posts that state "news" as fact and not rumor will be deleted if they are FALSE. Stories like this only confuse our fans and cause problems from us behind the scenes when we have to fight to make it clear its not true. I told you guys the article was not real and some members went as far as saying I was "covering up for Tha Row", "not in the loop", and "just plain lying". Any release we are going to release or are working on I know about right away and will always be honest with you guys, granted there are projects I cant discuss but I would never flat lie and say something wasnt true when it really was.

To the people that asked before they believed we appreciate that. Why people would believe a article on a message board over what someone from our company says is beyond me but then again this is the internet. I would also like to thank the unofficial sites hitemup.com and 2pac-outlawz.com (even tho they originally posted the article, they did repost saying it was a rumor), and any other site out there that posted the truth or tried to research the article before posting it up.

Happy Holidays to all and make sure you got that Christmas on Death Row blasting all month long!

I hope it won't be a second version of "Better Days", but a new album is always good for sales ===> money for the 2Pac Foundation (or whatever it's called)
