For rap music, I feel his music has a lot of emotional involvement. He raps about his life, his story, his battle with drugs and depression. So, for rap music - yes. He's a bit like Eminem, in regards to just putting everything out there on the table. Below is an example.

you made the point that his ego bothers you at times & that's what it is for everyone, but i respect that it doesn't affect your opinion on the actual music being made.

Regulator basically said the same shit; telling me i think "Padded Room is the best album ever" (can't recall saying that, but whatever) & that "Joe Budden is the best rapper"; i personally feel he is at the top of the rap game today; top five easy.

I have both his albums from last year on my itunes. And his shit with Slaughterhouse. That's about it. I can understand when people say he's boring cause he uses the same repetitive flow on every track. Truthfully I find it hard to listen to a Budden album all the way through because I do get bored. That doesn't mean I won't listen to his shit. But I'd like his shit in small doses cause he does make meaningful songs. Just he's not one of those artists you can listen to all day.

I would think his weak flow would be obvious. Like I think we all can agree that Snoop has that smooth flow but usually sub par lyrics. Budden is basically the opposite. good lyrics with mediocre delivery.
