of course not, that's the Rasta flavor, I mean what would Damian sound like if he didn't have that, he would lose his whole identity and part of what makes him stand out from the rest of the hip-hop world (ohh yeah, that and his father being a musical legend/Rastafarian Prophet, etc.)

im finding the album quite boring. ive never liked damian marley anyway, the only modern reggae i like is dancehall. it all just sounds extremely forced. "hey lets do an album together!" type thing, when theres no real chemistry between the two.

Damian Marley turns me off to this album; can't lie.

My Generation could of been dope if they spit about their generations, but they didn't lol.

it's Nas, so i know he'll get more of a pass than your average rapper; but this is nothing special.

1. As We Enter - 4/5 - Perfect intro track. First leak we heard off the album and it still sounds great

2. Tribal War (F/ K'Naan) - 4/5 - The theme works well. The drums make it a real African tribal type record. This is that Damian Marley music so of he course he fits it well. Nas sounds great on it too. K'Naan was a great feature choice on this record. GREAT to see a rapper from my city Toronto (not named Drake) getting LOTS of love with two guest appearances on this album

3. Strong Will Continue - 5/5 - Loved this joint from the moment it leaked. It's such a great uplifting record and should have really been the first single. I think they made a mistake with this one.

4. Leaders (F/ Stephen Marley) - 3.75/5 Beat is very chilled and laid back. Smooth record. Stephen Marley fits it. Damian Marley especially sounds good on it especially near the end of his verse where he starts to sing louder.

5. Friends - 4.5/5 Damian Marley sounds fantastic on this. love it! This is a great all around joint.
6. Count your Blessings  - 3.75/5 Definitely a "happy" joint but not in a mainstream/poppy way. Fits well with the song title. I'd put it in the league of "Leaders"
7. Dispear - 4/5 - Beat is pretty dope and Nas' flow is hot on here. Might be Nas' best vocal performance on the album. Damian sounds good too.

Just got through that for now...

Lil Wayne's verse should shut up all the critics. He may drop a lot of "made in a minute" verses but when he's on point, he's on point.
