Yes, he was supposed 2 appear on tha soundtrack. 2Pac discussed this back in 1996. This was back in 1994, Suge asked 2Pac for some songs for tha Murder Was The Case soundtrack and I think 2Pac recorded 2 songs for that album. Suge gave him like $250,000 for tha songs and he didn't use them. 2Pac was cool with tha Death Row roster at that time. This may have been one of many attempts of Suge's to get 2Pac on Death Row.
it was more to help pac out because he was broke...

Swoop G was on the soundtrack. 2Pac talked about how Suge paid him and didn't even use the songs. Since the Above the Rim days, Death Row was talking like they had just signed 'Pac, and it never came to be until after 'Pac got out of jail. I am not sure which songs it was he gave Suge though for Murder Was the Case, though I always thought So Many Tears would have fit the vibe of that Soundtrack. Someone did say High 'Till I Die, that would too.

nah they are referring to the song '20 dollars'

it was in the movie, but didn't make the cut for murder was the case. it later resurfaced on his solo album (which is both rare and underrated).

from what i understand this album went through a lot iterations, so i'm sure there is plenty recorded for it that we've never heard.

but if anyone is looking for a great murder was the case throwaway check out Just Doggin (OG). I'm listening to it right now and this song kicks ass. It's produced by Dr. Dre, has rapped verses by Kurupt and Daz, and the hook is by Nate. And I think I just heard some George Clinton adlibs on the end. And this beat is fucking sick... so yea lol.

You will find that this was "Above The Rim" not "Murder Was Tha Case".

Those 2 songs for Above the Rim were Pain and Loyal to the Game, which both appeared on The B-Side of the single for Warren's Regulate.

Not sure what Murder Was The Case could have been?

I think that song was playing in the background during Above The Rim's bar scene.

yeap, that is true. maybe it was originally intended for above the rim. i mean based on its sound i'd say it was recorded in 93.

2Pac was to appear on the Murder Was The Case soundtrack. The orginal version of Life's So Hard was gonna the song for it. Now, this is not the one that appears on the Gang Related soundtrack. This was pre-Death Row recorded material.

Let's remember those 2 songs 'Pain' and 'Loyal to the Game' appeared in rare pressings for the Above the Rim soundtrack (EP's, Singles, and if I'm correct the cassette version).

Pain wasn't on a "rare" pressing though... it was on the cassette back when tons of people still bought cassettes, so most people heard the track
