I thought it was co-produced with Mahogany? definitely 'mixed' by Dre at least.

Wait, wait, wait...

Quote
A "hit record" is a sound recording, usually in the form of a single or album, that sells a large number of copies or otherwise becomes broadly popular or well-known, through airplay, club play, inclusion in a film or stage play soundtrack, causing it to have "hit" (appeared on) one of the popular chart listings.

Basically all it takes is sell a lot of copies.

"Crack-A-Bottle" was number one & it doesn't count because it's bad? What a joke of a thread then.

Why don't we all just say his last "hit record" was "Still D.R.E." or "The Next Episode" because those are classics & we all love them? ::)

Dre says "Mahogany did the instrumental" on the outro. He may have mixed it but I doubt he had anything to do with the production.

Gentlemen. The question was simply what Dre's last notible record was that he produced and rapped on. Not what was his most beloved by Dubcc fans that he produced and rapped on.

*waits for the next hot Bishop Lamont record...

Yeah, it basically all seems baited to show that Dre hasn't had a hit as a producer-artist in 10 years but "Crack A Bottle" did well. Given that he's had so few legit singles as a featured artist since "2001", I'd say the track record is pretty good.

sounds like the OP is on about actual Dre solo records.

That should be obvious then

Lol for real, considering 2001 was his last solo album in 99 and Bad Intentions was also the last time he pushed a single as a solo artist its a pretty fucking stupid question...

How well did Bad Intentions actually do?

Now THAT is a stupid question.  lmao.

making instrumental and producing record is two diffirent things

would have been a very generous credit if it'd only been mixing, the finished version oozes dre's production touches. 'bad intentions' got to #4 in the UK charts but only just the top 40 in the states! surprising. us british were digging it 8)
