Loved Volume 2. Volume 1 has grown on me alot over the years, lyrically slick as fuck. Definitely agree on the 1st Blueprint being waaay overrated. I think that album did more for Kanye and Just Blaze because they carried that album beat wise.

Jay still disses a lot of cat.  Hell, that was most of Blueprint 3.  The difference is, since Nas, he's more or less done it subliminally.  Hell, before Nas he did it subliminally.  It's just his style.  So, if they get offended they just big him up more by giving him free press because they have to say his name since they're assuming the subliminal is about them.  That's one of Jay's greatest feats is getting under cats skins.  It's smart yet hypocritical when you look at his lyrics.  Take, Dear Summer where he says he doesn't respect disses unless it's directed yet he doesn't direct his own. 

I got love for Jay.  Cats like to shit on him because he's one of the few to actually get their proper spot light and run with it.

The Black Album & The Blueprint are 5/5 you can't argue his imapct with those albums (no one except Em & Nelly were really selling at that time) see it's easy for him now he does pop-oirientated songs featuring R&B singers and his album sold but the main reason is Radio all his songs are heavily played to the point it turns people off his muisc...But if u listen he has very cleaver ways in his delivery (Em hasnt lasted as long but is still superior in impact over all) it's just the test of time bro Jay is just simply oversaturated by the industry really because New York is biased when it comes to him (dude has dont how many songs with Beyonce and Rihanna? How many features on Many different R&B albums? No one takes any thing away from him even to the point they credit him with the success of the songs (Foxy Brown) ...Dude is a great MC and music is good but he has albums that are more superior than classic (Vol.1 is dope but his desperate attempt at Bad Boy/Puffy shit was wack espeacially the videos) "the Dynasty" (he switches his style to gangster on the cover after Bentley's and watches and suits, to bandannas and gang signs) really he is just smart at following trends bringing them NYC to get Propped for it...

Vol. 3 - (2) instant replay of last album
Dynasty - (4) stepped it up for this one
Blueprint - (4) overrated but still a solid album
