If you are rating Ice Cube above Big, you aren't taking into account just lyrics then.  Cuz Cube's lyrics is generic and average as hell.

With DOC, he had the lyrics, but his delivery/charisma wasn't always there...  So he's not overrated really

Cube's lyrics are average as hell?  seriously, it's obvious as hell you have NEVER head Cube's first 4-5 albums he worked on, so you can shut your ass up now

LOL. Do you not know I grew up on west coast hip-hop, then later transitioned to the east?   Of course I've heard them.  I could call you out for being a Cube stan for having him in ur sig, but I ain't that shallow.   Cube's lyrics are average man.  That doesn't mean he doesn't have a killer flow and delivery that makes him a good artist....

This whole thread is about you rating Rick Ross over Big, so maybe you should be the one speaking no louder.

This song alone>>>>BIG's career

Guess who back in the motherfuckin house
With a fat dick for your motherfuckin mouth
Hoes recognize, niggaz do too
Cuz when bitches get skanless and pull a voodoo.....

DOC is now overrated? LMAO, now I know for a fact you niggas stupid ass fuck

Let's take a trip but not of the physical
Sense of direction on a kid who's artistical
Through a gallery of thoughts, of course it's dope
Pay it tough like the name on my rope
Watch it be weary instead of steppin wit the boys
A musical massacre of inadequate noise
By the new authority 'cause of majority
Of peers who hear will award superiority
To those who know you knew now it's inevitable
I laid the track and it's simple unforgettable
Time had hold me better than gold, I sold
And in front of a group of soul is a new episode
So like see if you can grab a pawn yet another one
Take it to the everyday like it's done the son
Words connected up to another degree
And if an artist who planned it there, portrait of a masterpiece
It's unquestionable
The lyrics used, the D.O.C.'s a professional
Nothing exquisite to prohibit you from listening up
Crisp and clean but I don't mean 7-Up
I preside ill dippy dope to frantic to panic
And just a man on a mission wit something more in the attic
I'm just an ordinary, faring very few
Do it to the mic, is the D.O. to the C., you
Made the choice that doesn't need to pretend
I'm on the extend, I know about the ?(elevator end)?
But anytime between I'm spinning
Play strong, write it like it never ending
Keep creating while suckers are hating me now
Keep the upper hand 'cause the respond is gonna plow
No one can handle the physical torture
I've been taking and no matter what, I'll support'cha
Goals and dreams although is seems it won't come true
All of that is up to you, yo
But if you can't handle
You need a check, 'cause rap's like a gamble
Basically outspoken, keeping them choking on
But you recall, yo, a helluva rap song
Doing it forever together wit Dre, it will never cease
Plenty of records like "Portrait of a Masterpiece"
Not an exceptionalist
Sort of the norm, walking and holding my testicles
?(swoon for a six)?, spell out what it means to be dope
The D.O. to the C., they can't cope
Deal the real, yo, it's better 'cause I had to be
Better than any 'cause of majority
Negative never, I'm all about a positive force if you recall
It's the D.O.C. on the ball
Rap much greater, Dre upon the fader
Pump the bass and the pace
Most like by the D.O.C and this is it
'Cause when it's hype, then I feel that it's the shit
Word, never would I stop, I drop the beat I will
Especialy when I have to kill
I'm an annihilator, standing a full 6' 3
And I really don't think you wanna deal wit me
Potrait of a, watch out, I'll go..

listen doc spit ill shit, dope mc no doubt, the the high praise like he's the all time great and in people's top five = overrated, ain't no way that muthafucca in no damn top 5,you hear that shit album with his voice fucc'd up and hear some of them lyrics shit was trash, ain't saying he wasn't nice but muthafuccas put too much on em, and cube range and how he changed the game i got him #2 all time, can't put big over cube, accomplishments won't allow it yell

ring finger says, to don't pursue it,the "k-9" in me says
"ain't-nothing-to-it, but-to-do-it"/
but if we bang and i get caught OH-BOY-YA!/

  • The greatest entertainer ever.
Why is this even a discussion? Look how retarded this has gotten, which is why this moron should be banned.

Alright, BIG is a debateable Top 5; it doesn't matter where this uncredible faggot has him, the point is, Rick Ross ranks amongst the worst rappers alive.

So even if he has Biggie 45th all time, it's a retarded as fuck opinion, as if he wasn't retarded enough to begin with; but Rick Ross is like 1,045th all time, so in the end the OG statement still doesn't make sense lol.

For this little side argument, I don't have Big top five; but his legacy & impact automatically puts him in the top ten.

This is GOAT material? Lol, DOC uses a couple big words and spits about absolutely nothing and this is top 5 to you? He doesn't even rhyme that  effectively, he throws in a couple big words but most of it is "dope" with "rope", "boys" with "noise", "shit" with "it", "will" with "kill." Not too impressive. I disagree with what most of you are saying, DOC had better flow than he did rhymes.

LMAO at all you groupies dick riding ur heros. Cube, BIG, DOC at their peaks were all dope as fuck. But Rick Ross? Nigga u should be banished for sayin that muthafuckas name in the same sentence as BIG.

Officer Perez

??? I don't know this guy so fuck you!

GangstaBoogy

Life After Death is a 3/5 album AT BEST, but he got killed so hip hop community gave it a pity classic status.  Cut all the filler from that double disc album and you're left with barely a single disc album and even then I'd give that version 4/5 TOPS.

Wow nigga are you serious?!

the scary thing is that hes deadly serious lol

for me, BIG is top 5 no question...there's no point speculating as to whether or not he wouldve sold out if he was still around, so why not just shut the fuck up and enjoy the music...

as for the rick ross comparison, ill take that shit with more than a pinch of salt, not even worth acknowledging

Not big to anyone with a middle school vocabulary, but bigger than his west coast contemporaries. Unfortunately he doesn't say anything with them.

@box: you have Cube or Big number 2 all time? Confused...

yell @ me..
cube, no matter how much i enjoyed big's music, cube just took things to another level for the better of hip hop with his albums, i mean the equal predicted the riot,he spoke about everything that went on in the hood on death certificate (topics that relate to everything street and so called street dudes go through is covered in classic fashion on this album) he changed the game and got legit classics, his formula's are still used today, i think people when they judge on who's the best don't take everything into account, i mean as we speak some artist is making a "jacc'n for beats" record and ain't none top'd the original yet yell
