Could this dude on the bike be a cop? This would explain the camera and the other guys reaction. I would be pissed off. I'm grown and I surely don't need a crosswalk to cross a street. But I don't think I'd expect someone to go the wrong way which is much more dangerous (and bothering for car drivers).
I'm riding a racing bike myself and the first thing I learned is DON'T EXPECT OTHERS TO ACT PROPERLY IN TRAFFIC!
In this situation the guy on the bike could luckily be a smart-assafterwards like: "You're not using a crosswalk!" But he could get killed if someone pulls out of a parking lot. The driver would naturally look into the mirror to see if someone's approaching from behind. What'd he say then?
