You know what, we must be right because I agree with other dudes that there are about 4 or so tracks that screamed dirty south.  It sounds like it is hit or miss.  A lot of dope songs with potential (I have to hear full version) and a lot of them where I'm like WTF?  Definitely not south.  Seriously Ice Cube should check this forum for constructive criticism ....

Things running through my head while listening...

I understand Ice Cube loves and supports his kids, but he should NEVER record with them again. You can see he's trying to stoop to their level and it just doesn't mix.

Not leaking the full versions of "I Rep the West" and "Drink the Kool-Aid" was smart, cuz they still sound fresh

Who is this T.Mix guy? Hworks well with Cube.

"Hood Robbin" is a very well written song. Vintage Cube - tell it like it fuckin is.

"Nothin Like L.A." has a real "To Live and Die in L.A." type vibe.


This sounds like a real solid album but its just missing a few pieces. He should've gutted the songs with his kids, got a funky banger from Quik, did an OG type song with lessay Too Short or Nipsey since he said he's feelin him.

I'm not really feeling tracks 3, 4, 10, 14.

"Your Money or Your Life" sounds like it'd be in a halloween flick or something, like the Nightmare Before Christmas or some shit
"Nothing like L.A." sounds real dope, nice little vibe. everything else is pretty good too

same songs got great produced songs, but why da hell he´s usin southern typical sounds for a record that´s called "Im The West" and a old school style cover for it? instead of usin the westcoast sounds with new styles no he´s follwoin the ON AIR PLAY ROUTE LOL, okay i didn´t listend that record in a full lenth, but this sampler is enuff.
