Im only Norwegian, but as far as I know, its doing it on your own, aka "solo".

As in:
"I handle crews for dolo"
"Ima make it dolo"
"He used to be part of a group, now he's going for dolo"

Yeah, I've kinda got that idea from lyrics used around it, but why "dolo" and not "solo"....why does it start with a "d"?

I thought it meant soething like "no reason" or nothing" etc.

I don't know why but i thought it might come from "doe" = money/cash and "low" = low/little etc. Just my reasoning, probably completely wrong. I'd guess it's derived from a foreign language.

Yeah, but sentences like this doesn't make sense if it means "no reason":

"To hold it down for dolo"
"From group-member to dolo"
"You bang with your crew, I bang for dolo"

huh? nah dolo means for "self". like what jomes said ..he was fuckin with a group but now hes doin it for himself(dolo), hes doin it for self and/or by himself.
somegrimy ass queens slang right there. that and "dunn" str8 for the bridge.

I always thought that it meant "solo", but why say "dolo" instead of "solo"....I don't feel dumb asking this question any more!
