I have this feeling that Snoop is just trying to sell more records by using the name of an album that he became a star with. Its good promotion, its familiar, and everyone loves him for that record. When I heard Swizz Beatz was working on several tracks for Doggystyle 2, I knew it wasn't going to be anything like the REAL Doggystyle. He's gonna end up shitting on the name that made him who he is. The FIRST thing you do when you're Snoop Dogg and decide to call your album Doggystyle 2, is grab the original producer of the vintage record, Dr. Dre, and give the people a sound that reminds them of what they love with a new sound altogether. Shit, I'm not even a music producer, a rap star, or a record exec and I know that shit. These people aren't interested in admitting that this shitty music nowadays sucks and they should probably go back to what works and build on that. Now they just use catchy names to get your attention long enough for you to buy their record and then be disappointed. Then they get a fucking award for it; all while perpetuating a fake marketed image of some kind of drug selling, yacht owning, womanizing mafia don who's done time in prison.... when they're really just rapping. LOL. What happened to music....

Well from the video he and DPGC did with MTV, I would say that would be part of it (in the sense they will have a part in creating it like the first one)

As for the single, I will wait to hear the song to pass judgment.

Here's the thing. For all the skepticism I had with no Warren production on the 213 album, that is one of my favorite Snoop projects so we'll see where Doggystyle 2 goes. My enitial feeling is it's a bad idea but who knows?

I think snoop was injspired by the fact that  he did all the  original album (doggystyle) in the rock a bell tour and he saw how this album was timeless. And he was with all the  dpg crew . But the swizz thing i don't know but we'll see!!
