Infinite African West Coastin' Keystyle blog 2010

Look at these damn boots, they're startin to grow roots
Life in this American city can't give me nothing but loot
Tried to spend it here, but more of same, nothing new,
What I have to do is make it on my own, nothing to lose
So I set off, to offset, the settled brain that stays set
Let it get wet, let it forget, the mundane frame it projects
try to stimulate a few brain waves before I lay in the grave

So when high tide rides in I'm riding Atlantic ocean waves again
Too many nights speaking to myself, convo's within
Too many social network webs on the internet that we spin
Too much pretense ends up being a useless life as an American
Life as an intellectual exercise, so my heart give rise to murmering sea
Want to see life through different eyes, cause mines is weak

There's strain in my vision, want to see ease of life more simple
Life with more color and sun spots across sea ripple
instead of a life where I'm one foot in, one foot out, stuck middle
I'll be twisting up tree's and uncovering another's riddle
stay open and alert, never divert from the path
Stay in the flow of things, and don' look back
I'm out once more to build up some memories that last

My patience was wearing thin
Start to forget what exists with in
Its like the world suggests I do less
The suggest I leave dreams to rest
They suggest I compromise
But I suggest I push for the best
As long as this heart pumps in my chest
I look up, moment of silence sweetens my breath
And ask God to strengthen my love
And remember why I praise him
So my soul never forgets
The spirits still burnin
Dont want to spend my life learnin
Sometimes just need to feel
And be real, let me be natural
Let me hold u in my arms and mean no harm
My rep suggests nothing less than
One whom loves the best
With fullness and color of the rainbow
And if I dont show u this
Because I exist in clouded land
Then let me sit for a moment in purified sands
So that I can understand
Allahs wisdom and plan

Set the night to music
set my life to muses
Make me speak with knowledge of Confuscious
Or the humility of Rumi
I walk lowly in the Earth
Defy the stars like Romeo
Cause thy kept me low as thy well know
But worldly gains to me became
like a worldly myth
Like tales from fables of American Dreams
I've seen none of that
But I see all of you
made you my muse
and an excuse to move on
and prove the stars wrong
I shifted their patterns by shifting hemispheres
and now I can hear a night filled with music
The best of all my muses
Cause the last ones rendered me useless
but I can fit my whole self inside your majesty
You exist in your own galaxy
Your beauty projects the sun at it's nexus
the moon at it's greatest height and fullness
Your a queen and me I'm just a mystery
But if I can tell a captivating tell I could maybe gain your empathy
Maybe make you see a part of me
and if you wanted I'd give you every artery
you cleanse body and tattered soul
Never grow old but live forever
my love for you will never sever
No wealth to offer so I will leave you this letter
and in it contains a vivid description of all dreams
that you've been seeing but couldn't bring into being
So wear my glasses and see what I've been seeing
and let's become like one human being

Hold me in your arms
Your body can cool
Smooth my skin like lanolin cream
Make soft for me my dreams
Like the softness of your touch
Make my head spin
Feel a heat within
Like everytime Im touchin your lips
I'll leave u a kiss, keep it with you
And even if I dont speak with u
Our hearts can conversate
Because our love knows all so feel safe
I lock up these feelings and protect with my rep
Because if not for your love theres nothing left
So some hide their love in a place u can never find
But not mine, it just sits inside and burns slowly
Till Im again with you then it flows with ferry
And it may feel like its "defa borray"

I hear your song in the atmosphere
Your sweet music cools my senses
I was intense with a stress from the west
But next to you Im nothing but blessed
Lets just listen to Jazmine Sullivan
Open a door to catch the evening wind
My head is in a spin inspired by the earbs
I know theres some nicotene thats mixed in
Feel Im addicted so before I leave
Just leave a seed inside of me
so I can still remember again and again
I'll remember you and I'll question if it was meant to be
Meant to be for now or for eternity
the redness in yur dark complexion reflects electricity
lets not burden this moment with future expectation
Why not have it all now instead of waitin
Wait for what? we wait we miss the bus
spend the rest of our lifes trying to catch up
whats right is whats right infront of us
you and me right now thats enough

Give thanks to Jah
respect to Jah
cause many blesses go uncounted
many I couldn't see
till you taught me
child of the street
kids coming up to me
your my master
you tell me that Im lucky
but whats funny
is that Im your student
you never knew it
it looked as if my hand was givin
but its u who blessed me with wisdom
Sometimes my brain was stuck
in a constant state of want
just thinking I was always "this close"
but you taught me of what was most
most high, most important
taught me to bless up myself
and give thanks to Jah God Allah
not to get lost in semantics
and treat it like a debate on a campus
but to just feel his presence
cause his blessings are constant
kids pass me tell me Im lucky
a few hustle me for a few dollars
but to me they are scholars
of a wisdom so deep my words lost it
cause you cant put the ocean in a droplet
but the daughters and suns of African sun
live much closer to the source of one
cause its in the soul like a spirit
dont have to listen close to hear it
it was always present yet unseen
in a counterfiet American dream
In which we lose our survival instinct
but I cant complain cause Allah is mercy
had to calm down u wiped the frown up off me
woke me up like mornings coffee
you kids that pass me I dont have much to give
but hey take this and lets share some kind words
and let Allah stand witness
of how all life is interconnected
