From allmusic -

Prodigy (Albert Johnson, born November 2, 1974)

Yup, just checked the album H.N.I.C. and Prodigy is def A Johnson.

(K. Rahman, A. Young, D. Tannenbaum, A. Ransom, B. Honeycutt, A. Johnson II & M. Jones III)

Well... after a quick google search, I can't find Prodigy listed as A. Johnson II anywhere. Is he the second?

Do we know of another A. Johnsons??? lol. I'm curious as to who wrote Dre's and Snoops veres....

I don't see Krondon listed as Marvin Jones III anywhere either.

Blaqthoven is a dope producer. Wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with the beat.

Wow so.... the most plausible thing I can think of: Kobe and Blaqthoven wrote the sung parts. Khalil and Dre made the beat. Danny Keyz played keys. Something prodigy once said is sampled somewhere and for some reason he is getting credit for one sampled line. The leaves Krondon as the writer of BOTH verses??? damn. That came out of no where.

We hear that Bishop is writing for the album. Then DOC is also writing. Then Slim Tha Mobster. Then Eminem. Then TI, Jay-Z, Drake....

Imagine it turns out that Krondon wrote both verses on the lead single for the album.

This is crazy. I mean Dre has been collecting verses for 10 years now...

when the album finally drops, the writer list for Dre's verses is gonna be insane.

good work homie, nice post.  Yeah Ive been meaning to check out Krondon for the longest, I was waiting for Xzibit to do a Strong Arm Steady album but it never happened.

Krondon came with some ill shit for this "Kush" track.  He may not be what TV is looking for image-wise, so ghostwriting could get him paid.

Bangin first single, I love that Dre is workin with Akon.  Perfect lead single.  From Chronic to "Kush"!

that will.i.am line is atrociously bad
Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder

^ yet the funny thing is that at the same time I'd only expect to hear a line like that come from somebody like Snoop...

the line may sound simple, but it actually has deeper implications.  The West Coast is known for representing a very masculine vision of hip-hop.  The West put the gangsta rap culture on the map, and usually the dress code was baggy.

Now that the West Coast has fallen off in the mainstream, a softer, prettier, bubblegum version of hip-hop has arisen.  And tight jeens are actually a symbol of this shift in hip-hop music.

So actually, this song is Dre coming back, the West comin back, the good old days of the 90's coming back, and that line is perfect for the song.
