The Irish Conundrum: Cheese Vs Gold?
« on: November 28, 2010, 10:43:03 PM »
the irish government announced previously they would be giving out free cheese to citizens this christmas. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ireland/8114327/Let-them-eat-cheese-Irish-government-hands-out-block-of-cheddar-to-every-family.html

more recently the government have accepted a bailout from the IMF and will continue to pay interest on their unsustainable debt-load for the forseeable future. http://www.zerohedge.com/article/definitive-unwrapping-irish-package

so i ask the classic question, cheese or gold? should the irish be happy with their cheese handout or perhaps look to another yellow substance to drain the banking system. or maybe its poorer cousin silver. two iconic yellow substances, one vote.

cheese

gold
