Are you people stupid? Easy Did not, and I repeat DID NOT even write his shit lyrics. How can you even compare these two. It's like asking if Al Pacino is tougher than John Gotti. One is real, the other is fake. Eazy E was no more than a Black, male, Britany Spears with an attitude. I don't give a fuck if he was some half assed street drug dealer. Tupac was and will always be a legend.

Seer, you should make a rule that prevents ppl for vote on polls if they arent above 200 posts or something   ;)

;) cheer up homie coz this is for the 2pac fans only rule  ;D
Sorry but was it supposed to be funny? Just for the record, this poll was been started by a DPG fan who voted for Eazy. What's wrong if this board got more 2Pac fans than Eazy E fans? Do i have to reach 200 posts to get credibility in this board?

what the fuck does the number of posts have to do with knowledge of hip-hop? damn near the stupidest shit i ever heard.

by the way if people are debating who is a better rapper, tupac or eazy, you need to slap the shit out of yourself. i said this shit before. tupac wrote his own lyrics, and went beyond one subject. 95% OF THE TIME EAZY DIDN'T WRITE HIS OWN LYRICS. that alone makes this comparison fucking retarded. now as for who was more important or influential, that can be debated.

Why do you all wanna beef over opinion? Does it make you more "respectable" in this board? Everybody got his own opinion. Respect that. Period.

With his thug stories? Man obviously you dont know 2pac's life. He was been raised by Afeni Shakur (who went to jail because she bombed a police station, according to the judge) and by Mutulu Shakur (who was in the Top 10 Amerikaz most wanted list). Another daddy he had was Legs, who died in jail and who was a gangster. His step-father was Geronimo Pratt, who was been sentenced to jail for lifetime. Assata Shakur, you know her? And i can go on and on. He had a whole background of people who hated police and US flag. You can hear Pac talking shit about Lady Liberty, about the Constitution, about police, about racism, etc.. in his early works (check tracks like Tears of a clown, Everything they owe, Pather Power, Words of wisdom, etc..). He wasnt a gangsta. And he never claimed to be a gangsta. He wasnt even a real thug. Like he said, he repped Thug Life. He didnt create it, he talked about it. Thug Life exists everyday in all the streets of the world. He repped it. Then he rolled with Suge, and he had enought background to talk some gangsta shit and to be totally thugged out. He acted like a thug. He kicked a crip, man. Worldwide. Then he died. Obviously. But he wasnt fake. He was real. You can like him or not, but dont disrespect his life with all this ignorance.

Eazy E was been a great rapper. Tupac too. Everybody got his fav one. Let's not disrespect them to prove personal opinions, please.

Well.. it think it's pretty clear that he wasnt a real gangsta. His mother tried her best to keep him away from the streets, by sending him to Churces (he was written in a Pentecostal order, if it's interesting for the board i'll find it), by sending him to theathers to act, to the infamous Baltimore School of Arts to study music, dance, poems, etc.., by sending him to Marin City (she just didnt know The Jungle was an horrible place if you want to keep your kid away from thugs), etc.. He was a poor black guy who sold drugs to get some money and who hated police because of his background. He was very well informed. His hating against police, Lady Liberty etc.. wasnt just "stupid" or "music-related". His music was life-related. You know what i mean? And yes, like Snoop said in that DR diss track, Pac wasnt a G. And Suge made him a G, or "forced" him to act like a G. He was thugged out. Cause he felt like he was untouchable. But we kno the end of the story.

It's not "that" simple. That thugged out Pac was been the result of a lot of things that happened in his life:
- he went to jail, and he suffered. He arrived to say "I'd rather die than go back to jail"
- his supposed best friend lied on him, setting him up (according to Tupac)
- Suge saved his life
- Suge hated Puff Diddy too
- Suge was a G and he promised Pac protection (and bodyguards)
- Tupac was mad and probably out of control
- he had all eyes on him, a gang of bloods protecting him, Outlawz on his back, and he had an enemy: the perfect situation to start a war.

Unfortunatly, he exaggerated, as he started to think he was an outlaw IMMORTAL for real. Pac acted like that BECAUSE OF ALL those facts, not only because Suge signed him. Suge didnt punk him. Suge saved his life. Pac rolled with him. Pac acted like a G. Pac died like a G.

Assata Shakur, you know her?
assata shakur had no relation whatsoever to 2pac, that was just a coincedence

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
