I love how people forget how 'Pac was a Bay rapper. Without Eazy, Dre, Cube, Death Row, Suge, Snoop, and a lot of other L.A. rappers wouldn't exist. Without Eazy, 'Pac would still be. Again, 'Pac was of Digital Underground. Without Shock G, there is no 2Pac. Digital Underground was ground breaking, Shock G's alter ego Humpty Hump was a huge money maker, and had no N.W.A. influnce. 2Pac was more political when released, so not realy into that gangsta shit, and he used a more N.Y. influnce. Hell he wanted to be M.C. New York. Lots of N.Y. influince, Bay influince, listen to Strickly For My Niggaz, and we know the Bay influince L.A. more than L.A. to the Bay. The Thug shit as more Kool G Rap, Ice T (which came out in '86, before N.W.A.) and a little Ice Cube than Eazy E.

As for sound. 'Pac's flow was that down from the heart low. Every word meant something. Eazy was a gimmick, 'cause Dre knew it would work. Eazy's voice was funny, his flow was off actually. His shit was meant to be funny.

Eazy over 'Pac. I can see Biggie, KRS-One, Ice Cube, Rakim, Bone Thugs, Snoop maybe, Dr. Dre 'causehi a producer not a rapper, but Eazy E. I love him, but over 'Pac? Still leaves me confused. I think most are just people looking for a person to put over 2Pac, try Ice Cube, then I can almost agree.

I just prefer listening to Eazy over Pac...Pac was a much better MC and all that but Easy is just so fukin entertaining to listen to...I love hearing him sing "Automobile" or make songs like "Gimme That Nut" and turn around and make songs like "Real Muthafukin G'z" or "It's On"...Anyways RIP to both Eazy and Pac, 2 legends that were taking from us to soon...

I ain't got to look for a person to put over Pac, there're loads of people I put over Pac I wouldn't need Eazy for that.

and I didn't say without Eazy there was no Pac

What I said is Pac didn't improve HipHop so his influence couldn't be that great
if u think I'm wrong tell me why

Man... I think comparing these 2 rappers is kinda dumb...On a Battle, it aint really about who's the best m.c but who can humiliate who the better... And with 2 Top Battle Rappers like Eazy & Pac, we cant know who would win without seeing it happen and I think it would be a BIG battle... Eazy could win and Pac could win, they are, in my opinion, 2 rappers that can humiliate... Listen to Hittem Up, listen to Real muthafuckin G'z lol.. These songs are so embarassing .. Now everybody calls Dr Dre a Gay and everybody Hates Bad Boy

who's the better overall rapper? U cant compare em, they are too damn different in my opinion, Eazy E was a funny man having fun and droping some dope gangsta shit and Pac was a deep rapper, but more serious then E... Eazy Repetitive? How many times do 2 Pac says "IM a thug nigga"  or "is there a heaven for a thug" Every rapper has a topic they talk about a lot... Too Short is all about pimpin..

Anywayz r.i.p to both of em

i dont see anywhere on the homeboy who made this threads post that says: lyrically who was better etc....so it all boils down to who u like more n why...n i like eazy more cuz he is the reason we're on this board...if he didnt round up dre, cube, ren n yella there wouldve never been NWA...and dre would still be rockin them gay ass suits...ren would probably be out bangin...who knows what cube would be doin...yella wouldve probably started his porn biz long ago..lmao...therefore snoop wouldve never got his start with the masses...nor would the DPG...if pac never exsisted we would half less studio thugs thats for sure...and i prefer too short too...cuz he paid the dues that tupac didnt have to...short and e-40 opened the door for the bay...digital underground were just steppin in when pac hopped on board...it all boils down to what these guys did...Too Short, Ice-T, NWA, Mixmaster Spade, E-40....they had to struggle to get accepted because they were virtually the first people makin rap music from cali...they had to go threw the most label/commercial bullshit...plus they all made some straight up classic shit with little money backin them...real hustlin...sellin tapes out of their trunks...self made muthafuckas

sgv-   yeah well in case you don't know, it wasn't eazy that rounded up NWA. dre and cube got together, and they went to eazy to get the funds. eazy didn't go lookin for them to start the group. everyone involved was tryin to get eazy to rap, and in the beginning he didn't want to, but they finally convinced him. and you think pac inspired more studio gangsters than eazy did? what the fuck are you smokin? 90% of rappers are studio gangsters. you're sayin they're he because of pac? i'd say eazy is more the cause of that than pac. thats cool that you prefer too short. i understand-i own everything since shorty the pimp except whats my favorite word. but in no way shape or form does too short compare to tupac. at least as far as music. as far as opening doors, well hell yeah he does. but based on that, is rappers delight your favorite hip-hop song of all time? because that opened the doors for everybody in hip-hop. he said which was BETTER. i would interpret this as who is a better MC. shit maybe he meant who was better at opening doors. who the fuck knows. he dude whoever started this topic, why don't you clarify?

Well, I got to say Eazy.. He's the/a founder, more gangsta, talkin bout the real..Pac is deeper, but is no Eazy.. They hyped Pac up, specially in Europe..over here is rap = 2pac. And that's sad, the're alot more talented rappers in the biz..

Don't get me wrong, got love for both, but when I got to choose..

To Hoe Hopper.

'Pac didn't influince rap? Have you ever heard DMX, Ja Rule, Tha Realest, or any other corny sounding sound-a-likes. As for improving the game. Before 'Pac, if any one did a Keep Your Head Up, a Dear Mama, a Brenda Got A Baby, then they would be dissed, and lose their street rep that was so important back then. Eazy's influince was not musical. Ice Cube cam up with the political shit, Dre and Yella worked on the sound, more Dre than Yella. Who else would sample Funky Worm, Dre. Eazy was a founder because of his business influince. Eazy started his own damn record label, housed a west coast all star group, got female rappers, and keep all that shit gangsta. Ruthless was the blueprint to Death Row. We now how that turned out. 'Pac came out and rapped on home issues, and got deep, a depth no one can reach, but they try. 'Pac upped the game to a point were no one can up it. Eazy made business out of the game. 'Pac made great music, Eazy made money. His music was made by other, for him. He just was the right person to do it, because of his voice.

I cant agree 100%, Nobody daired to go out & say fuck the police or shit like that, that kept rappers from expressing their real anger but then E just came up with it & putted NWA in the role & that opent gates so he did influence rap more then 2pac, like Shock G said "We were (digital underground) underground because we expressed our real anger but since NWA came, it opent alot of gates for us rappers". & Eazy made alot of money but lost alot to, when he died he was hella bankrupt.. Tomica, the one that gets dissed alot for killing Ruthless took care so that it could run functionally again, now they may not put out the biggest gangsta waxes but they still are in business.
