Adam F is criminally underused
« on: December 20, 2002, 11:07:47 AM »
Why is it that no hiphop artists recently have worked with Adam F? His album was full of absolute bangers, and with his steller production I am sure many of the more unknown hiphop artists could get the credit that they deserve. I know that he has just made his second drum n bass album, so hopefully with that done he will now go back to working with some more hiphop artists.

Yeah, that's some of his finest work, and also I would like to add CNN - "Listen here".
I can't believe people don't use him more.. maybe it's because he's british, and it's difficult working with him.

English drum'n'bass producer sends a demo-tape to Redman, next thing he knows, he's on the plane to the U.S.
Here he records with Redman, M.O.P., Guru, Capone N Noreaga, De La Soul, Pharoahe Monch, etc.
He appeared all over Redman's "Malpractice" on skits, intros and even a few tracks.
He's the British dude in the intro, on the intro of the song with Method Man, and on "Smash Sumthin", and a few skits.
There has even been made videos for "Smash Sumthin" with Redman, "Stand Clear" with M.O.P. and maybe more.

All his productions was released on the album "Kaos", and after that, nobody has heard from him.

1. Main Title "KAOS"
2. Smash Sumthin (Featuring Redman) * MUST HEAR *
3. Stand Clear (Featuring M.O.P.)* MUST HEAR *
4. Listen Here (Featuring C.N.N.)* MUST HEAR *
5. Where's My **** (Featuring Lil Mo)
6. Greatest Of All Time (Featuring LL Cool J)* MUST HEAR *
7. News Flash (Featuring Huggy Bear)
8. Dirty Harry's Revenge (Featuring Beenie Man & Siamese)
9. Time 4 Da True (Featuring De La Soul)
10. Karma (Comes Back Around) (Featuring Guru & Carl Thomas)
11. End Of Days
12. Last Dayz (Featuring Pharoahe Monch)* MUST HEAR *
13. Time Is Up Outro
14. Trans Mission

Hear those must hears, you'll have a pretty good idea of what Adam F's style is.
I'd say he's a harder version of Rockwilder, with a little Nottz-influence.

I first started to listen to adam f years ago, when I was into drum & bass/jungle. I got his album (Colours), it's tight, and it has one of my all time favourite D&B tracks on it called Circles, check that track out (listen to the full length album version about 7/8 mins long i think).

His album was hella tight, if a little short, and I can't really see why it wasn't released outside of Europe.

Other than his drum n bass album the only other production I think that he has done was that Boniface - Cheeky song, but that was a more rnb/pop song, even though Lady Luck was featured rapping on it.

I'm hoping he hasn't decided to leave hiphop and go back to drum n bass permanantly, cause I was kind of hoping that he was going to do some production on the next MOP album.

The track he did with Li'l Mo was an absolute rip off of Timbaland/Aaliyah - Try Again.
