Late '05, but i'm pretty sure it was one of the leftover Dre beats/songs from Massacre, which would mean Dre made it in '04 some time. I didn't really think much of it at the time (since all of Dre's other shit at the time was better IMO) but now i'm feelin it way more. I think it might have been 50 though that I didn't like on there, and still think didnt fit that beat. That would of really suited Banks I think.

Nah 50 sounds good on it, this was the era when people were hating on 50 and they overlooked this song saying it wasn't that good. But I always thought the beat was next level and 50 sounded dope on it with good subject matter.

to me, dre is more like a shodw of himself. as a beatmaker he fell off a long time ago (even tho he can create good instrumentals every now & then), but as a music-producer he still got it. absolutely

I didn't like that he produced only couple of tracks on Recovery would have liked to hear more Relapse had some good beats and some not so good ones

He IS a shadow of his former self, but to be fair to the man, his former self was the best producer in hip-hop, and its tough to follow what he's done. Especially in this throw-away internet era.

When I initially heard "Kush" i thought it was rubbish but the more I've heard it the more I've enjoyed it. I think he can still knock a great album out...if it ever happens.

As for the initial post about the beats on Recovery...not one beat on that album really got me interested to be honest. Eminem is way too "pop" and commerical these days for me to take him seriously as an artist though so that may be why.

Not one Dre produced track after 06 makes me go  Some nice tracks on Relapse, but they're still not on the same level as his productions from his 00-06 era to me.
