Think they would have announced it then ^

Would be dope to see Dre performing again!

Just too bad if its done it will be with this song..

I guess they would announce it. But I could see them making it a surprise too. They know lots of people will be watching the Grammys regardless.

Guess we will see.

looks like this time not even Dr Dre can resurrect the fortunes of the west. havent heard one decent "detox" track yet, dudes officially losing his mind...

maybe its early onset dementia or some shit

wonder how many of the fanatics will top themselves when the album drops and its bullshit?

Honestly, i'm not even gonna hate on the track or it being aimed at kids. What gets me is the fact that the SECOND single now aint even Dre, its some piece of shit Alex Da Kid beat. Dre, this isn't Detox, this is on some 2010 Eminem/Recovery shit. If it was on Recovery or a future Em album, then it's clearly acceptable, but fuck it, i'm sick of beating a dead horse with this. And i'll co-sign the dudes who said the hook is easily the only good part here. The only thing I could see this song good for is a "re-introduction" single for Dre, but not an actual album track (wasn't that supposed to be Kush?).

I remember someone said in that big ass Kush thread that if you were to hear Kush on the radio, you wouldn't be able to see a difference with that and anything else. I disagreed, but for this one, it's truth, at least on the hook/instrumental side. But in the end, I guess we would ALL rather have Dre/Em/Detox running the airwaves than some skinny jeans movement.

And FYI, the thing about Under Pressure was that NO ONE liked it, litterly NOBODY. This track, it seems only the people who been real heavy on Detox are upset with it, as everyone else thinks it's cool or just a little below-standards. So that's why it hasn't been trashed and Detox hasn't been pushed back 2 years.

And one more thing, not sure if it's been mentioned, but they started shooting the video for this on Tuesday.

yeah i made that comment about Kush. at the time i thought it was produced by Dre, even though the sound was a little different. now that i know that DJ Khalil produced it, it makes sense why i thought that the sound was weird for a Dre produced single.

I'm hoping that Kush and INAD are both not on the album, and are only serving as re-introduction tracks.

If you look at Kush on iTunes, under album it does not say Detox. Will be interesting if INAD doesn't either.

The official version of Dr. Dre‘s new Detox single “I Need A Doctor” (feat. Skylar Grey & Eminem) has just leaked onto the internet. It’s obviously a more refined and properly mastered version of the track, and you can stream it below. The official single is set to be released on February 1st. (Skylar Grey’s website)

detox coming soon ...(summer or september 2011) maybe a big disappointment for us ,  the 2001 's era is lost  now dr dre and jimmy want to make a mainstream album  after 10 years dr dre comes with one little album 13 tracks only !!! what a shame !!!

Dude that album was mainstream to the fullest. I remember being a kid in middle school when that album came out. The songs were all over the radio and everyone in my age group was loving it. I thought it was the most awesome album I had ever heard. It was definitely targeted at my generation.

So if Dre is making an album targeting kids now, he's basically targeting the same age group he did in 99. That being said, I think Dre should be able to make a mainstream album without trying to remake Recovery. I disapprove of this song's direction.

So is that the criteria for a mainstream album? "People loving it & being on the radio"?

Is every album that everyone loves mainstream?

i understand your mind but dre is 46 years old so he must sale one rock'n roll 's singles to enjoy all fans in the world ?? i'm rock'n roll or not that's the way i live jimmy like rock n roll 's vibe  i need a doctor is perfect for the radio
like eminem feat. dido - stan  all people liked this record it's a mainstream  business !!!
2001 was more gangsta than kush or i need a doctor today the rap game is a combination between rock n rap like lil wayne game jay z or snoop busta rhymes redman lol that's a good way to sale a lot of music !!!
when i saw the featuring on 2001 there was more dirty mc's like xzibit snoop knocturnal kurupt mc ren nate dogg kokane  a lot of big dogs man !!
today we listen  lady gaga beyonce la roux can be on detox  why not madonna  too ?
man today is more mainstream than before  all fan know the G-funk is dead !!!

this song is too mainstream its like something my little sister would listen to :D

looks like Dre was told by Iovine to make this who knows what Detox would sound like if he had complete control
