RARE: Big L and his killer in the same pic!
« on: January 29, 2011, 10:39:11 AM »

It's from The Big Picture bootleg, but in better quality ofcourse. It also got the "Supposed" killer of Big L, Gerard Woodley in the picture.  :o

From Left to right:
Big L, Kareem (Doc), Reggie White, who used to be a boxer, childhood friend of Big L, Gerard Woodley to the far right.

The photo was taken on 139th n 7th ave, it was taken during the Annual african day parade in Harlem. The photo was taken in late 96 or very early 97. This is really freaking me out!

Well you thought wrong. Everybody knows he did it! Wikipedia says this: At 8:30 pm on February 14, 1999, Big L was shot nine times and died on the scene in his own neighborhood. At the time of his death, Coleman's brother was in prison on drug charges. "It's a good possibility it was retaliation for something Big L's brother did, or Woodley believed he had done," said a spokesperson for the NYPD. Gerald Woodley was later released due to insufficient evidence and the murder case remains unsolved. Gerald Woodley left Harlem and was never seen again after that...

I feel like Big L would have gone off to go down as the best if everyone lived.

I use to say Biggie would have sold out & Pac would have stayed true. But as I got a little more level headed I realized they both would of gone mainstream.

Big L doesn't seem like he could of gone mainstream lol.

Biggie was already rockin the shiny suits in 97, if he'd have stayed alive I'm sure he would have gone that route.

Pac was as mainstream as you can get, but he never sold out, was very anti-establishment.  Pac was very political and about the betterment of his people.  Biggie was all drug / gun talk and didn't give a fuck about anything but money.

Makaveli was Pac's least commercial sounding album, his sound was going away from really any semblance of pop music.  I don't think he would have sold out, he wasn't built that way.

I would like to think not. But I mean, we'll never know. I'm sure twenty years ago, nobody would guess that Ice Cube was going to have his own sitcom on a family network. :P
