i aint really been to the type of place to play new hip-hop music in some time. no doubt it sounds real good in a club, better than most shit coming out nowadays. just don't think the track is much cop in the scheme of things.

EXACTLY. Which is why if Detox DOES come out this year, Kendrick is gonna be a lucky fucker compared to the hundreds (maybe not that much) who Dre has been with since 2001 (i'm talking all artists he's worked with, not just "the next big things" like Hittman, Bishop, etc.).

So what about Slim The Mobster, Dre seems to cosign him everytime he's asked about new artists, anyone think he's actually gonna ride the Detox wave? Actually who, at all, will ride that wave? I have no clue to be honest. Guess that depends on how big the album is.
