Buying records in Japan is worse than buying gas in the states.

HEY! Lucky you. RECOfan is the most amazing shop I've ever been to. Seriously.

And you have so many good independent recordshops too. Last year I bought 150 CD's while on holiday in Japan 8)

And they often do special editions.

Yeah those independent recordshops are pretty good, but it takes time to find them. And even if you find them they're likely to run out of business within a month. There used to be a really cool one near where I live, bought records there and sold them back and used that money to buy more CD's lol. Ran out of business when they built a Tower Records around here :P.

Well I feel you on full price CD's & DVD's then. I was also looking for a cheaper copy of Wheels on Meals AKA Spartan X AKA スパルタンX - could I find one under ¥3,300 ? ;D

What city do you live in homie?

Well there's a digitally remastered version due out next month (4/8/11) at ¥1500 according to here http://listen.jp/store/cddetail_4988113761260.htm and here http://www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail/3977991. Funny how this DVD is cheaper than japanese CDs :P.

Can't tell you exactly where I live, but I live close to...

Thanks! Maybe that's a 'special price' version of the previous remaster. As you know there's a massive diference in pricing over there. Like I was able to buy about 20 CD's (ex-rental) for ¥150 each. Mint condition of course! 8)

Don't know... but the Castle looks a lot like Himeji :pimp:

Nice, where most of them imported CD's? I've found that often imported CD's sell for less than those made in Japan. Like how a newly released J-Pop artist's album with 12 songs sells for ¥3,500 (no DVD or big limited edition booklet, just the CD) but I could get Snoop's entire discography (up to Malice) for ¥300.

As for the castle, all I know is that the original was burned down during WWII and a new one was built near it.

Also (to keep this thread from de-railing), I copped this today.
$5.00
