Wait so he's recording songs specifically for boxing matches?

Anything to avoid detox huh?

Dre might as well stall as long as he can, all the songs that have leaved so far make it seem like there's no real direction for the music he's doing. He's gone from a cluby/techno track to a weak song with a fake nate dogg and (to make things even worse) Akon then he comes out with a knock off "Love the way you lie" song with Em doing his scream rap thing he does. If these songs, like he says, are not going to be on Detox then he needs to stop putting them out, it not a good look for him. If you don't have any real heat to put out that is really going to be on Detox then stop with the bullshit leaks because that is killing the expectations that the fans have for Detox. It doesn't matter if these songs are ranking really high with the amount of views, hits or whatever they're getting because all that means is that there are a lot of people interested, everyone is highly anticipating Detox so they are wanting to hear the preview/leaks of what Dre's been working on (everyone has been waiting for a long time so of course there are going to be a lot of views/listens but that doesn't say anything about the quality of the music, it's just a hot topic). Now after everyone has heard the songs (and they're ranking high in the "number of listens" department) the general feeling about them has been that they're weak and a lot of fans are unhappy. All this is doing is letting everyone know that Detox may not be the classic that everyone was expecting. Stop with the bullshit leaks if it isn't worth putting on the album.

Since this song is for boxing, it better be raw/hard. And produced/co produced by Dre too.

I know what it'll be like...

It'll have a chick singing the chorus in an emo way, singing stuff like, "I need some boxing, you've been gone for so long, need someone to watch boxing with"

And Em's verses will be all about how him and Dre used to watch the boxing, but then Dre got bored of boxing, and Em's like, "Dre man, you got me into watching the boxing, and now you gonna question yourself like you don't like watching the boxing no more??"

And the video will be of them watching boxing, then not watching boxing, but then Dre crashes his car and Em convinces him to start watching boxing again

That's how it'll be.

Exactly right, Shade.  There is no Detox product, in fact.  They are recording songs and releasing them as they go, affiliating them with "Detox" to give it a brand association.  They can sell one-off singles via iTunes and stuff -- make money off singles sales, then keep the Detox brand going to keep the fans' attention, and plus all the while sell headphones and speakers etc. as long as they still have all that attention they're accumulating.  I'm glad to see people like Matty and so forth catching on to what I've been saying for years now.  I can't get mad though -- Interscope found a way to make mad money in the music biz in the new millennium.

Wrong, Mayweather was on his way down, and grabbing onto Mosley's arm not only prevented him from hitting the can as but also kept Mosley from finishing him off right away. Smart move, yes, but don't think that Floyd took it easily. He ditched the shoulder technique he's known for and kept both of his hands up to block his face the rest of the second round that he was lucky to survive, then he adjusted after that round and won. Shane wasted energy with far too much upper body movement, which he doesn't have the luxury of doing considering the difference in age (and agility and stamina as a result) between him and Floyd.

Don't get me wrong, Floyd beat Shane fair and square, but don't front like Floyd handled the hits just fine. And just like when he fought Marquez, it's a shame that he couldn't finish off an opponent who couldn't hang.
