Truth be told I don't feel sorry for Nate Dogg

Yea sure he left us with many memorable classics but what happened to him as sad as it may sound, he had coming to him.  The man didn't take care of himself physically.  God knows how many nights he spent eating crap, smoking, drinking , doing other drugs, and god knows what else for god knows how many years in a row.  I doubt he worked out either.  Not just that all the hits he was on during his career and he still couldn't pay his medical bills.  Yet you guys mourn him like he was a direct relative.  So much more in the world to be concerned about.  Legit concerns that effect our lives but you still mourn a man that didn't even value his own life.

People will hate on this thread, but you do reap what you sow.

Another thing too, during his illness and once he died I thought it was kinda fucked up that all the artists he did hooks for and gave their songs an added effect didn't run out and help out with Nate's expenses. But in hindsight, they don't really owe him a damn thing. I'm sure Nate was compensated fully for his work and should be able to handle his own. Nobody really know the reason why some people didn't come to his aid. I always hated how when a person died who was iconic, they are automatically granted sainthood by his/her fan base.

And Nate could of been all deserving of an out pour of aid for his expenses and bill. Honestly, none of us will know the truth. All I'm saying is, now that time has passed, I can reflect more logically and less emotionally at the situation at hand and see both sides for what they are.

One thing that's been on my mind during all of this. Everyone's been making a big deal about his wife and kids and how they need help. Even getting mad at other rappers for not stepping in. But shouldn't Nate take the blame for that? He was the go-to hook guy for years. He's been a part of so many classics he had to have gotten money out of all that. More than enough to leave his family living comfortably.

I mean people on this forum were acting like his fellow artists should have financially supported him when he was in the hospital but aside from Snoop and Dre, Nate was part of way more mainstream hits than any of them. From all those royalties he should've been caking major doe. I don't know what the real story was but from the surface it sounds like he didn't invest that money towards his family. We all heard how he was arrested for kidnapping and how Dre bailed him out for a million dollars. From all the stories of his craziness it just seems like he was an incredibly irresponsible individual who pissed away all that money and left his family in debt. Shouldn't this be mentioned?

That pissed me off when all these rappers were asking us for money to pay for Nate's medical bills.  Snoop doesn't have money to help ?  You gotta ask us regurlar folk to help out a man that spent all his money on coke ?  I can understand Warren asking for money because he only had one hit in his career and Suge got most of that.  Plus Warren is lives in a studio apartment which he pays for by doing internet commercials for bootleg viagra.  But Nate for a long stretch was the go to hook man in rap and he had nothing to show for it.  That's not hot in the streets, not hot at all.  Plus music and me was a dull ass album.  He had a huge buzz and couldn't even drop a hot single like c'mon.

The way people are reacting towards him like he was this great man when in actuality was a coke head that will barely leave any imprint on the music biz and none on society.  People making threads asking what did you do in tribute to him, did you cry, whole bunch of gay shit

He wasted millions of dollars and left his family in debt. Shouldn't that be mentioned? people are confusing Nate Dogg the artist with Nate Dogg the person.
