Not even feeding into potential trolling, on a serious note, I agree.

Em these days is getting difficult to listen to. With that being said, he did have some cool moments on "Hell - The Sequel".

I feel like all the talks of him falling off & albums like Encore & for some Relapse affecting his spot on GOAT lists & stuff made him put out Recovery as like some serious album. Like "I'm serious guys. I'm screaming. I'm not making fun of everyone. It's serious". Homie tried too hard.

I said recovery was wack right from day one. All the em stans were wetting thier pants over it claiming it a classic. I remember the Joe budden forum, a weird bunch who think crooked I can't rap( not wack, just can't even rap) and they were proclaiming it best album ever basically. People just bought into thier own hype for the album. I tried explaining it to people that the album was wack but they wouldn't listen labeling it classik. People were angry about the accents and hated on relapse. So when eminem came out with a single that broke his tradition of first singles and claimed relapse was wack and that he had made a mistake with the accents people convinced themselves recovery was incredible. They completely ignored he'd traded in accents for yelling and horrible singing. His lyrics were hypocritical claiming himself free from drugs then in the very next breathe talking about splitting pills with a chick. The whole album was a mess. The day it came out I made a thread on the Joe budden forum saying that in six months everyone would realize relapse was a superior album. Nobody believed me.And now because of the support idiots gave him expect this yelling flow for at least another album

I prefer Royce on this. Em goes nice, but good point is that he lost something.

I prefer relapse over recovery any day and i thought the yelling was annoying from the first time i heard the album as well. On relapse the accents weren't as annoying as they were on encore and atleast the beats were cohesive.

Eminem killed a few verses on that new album with Royce but it also does get tiring pretty quick hearing him screaming and having the same cadence over and over

but Relapse still had the sickest Dre beats... probably his last good batch anyway

compare the instrumentals, very different. his vocals are also higher on the new stuff and theres a lot more live instruments too.
