2Pac wasn't a gangster, and the only affiliation came from his superior who was affiliated.

2Pac is extremely under-rated as an actor. He was an actor first and foremost, even from an early age. Forgetting the blockbuster movies for a second, look at all that hard man image on record and on camera, spittn, screaming thug life. It's just an act. He read a lot, and experienced a lot and was very clever. The real 2Pac was a bit of a nerd like below:

Don't be calling women the "B" word

Anyone who personally knew him say he was soft, kind-hearted, polite and well spoken..
He became Suges mouth piece, repped MOB for him, dissed people for him, with 2pac knowing that with Suge connected with him, he could carve his character into a certain image more easily. He attempted to play the part of a gangster further, and take direct action on stage to make it look more believable, and paid the ultimate price for it

I honestly don't give a fuck either way.  But people thinking Pac got killed over some street shit are wrong.  He was being targeted by the Feds and extorted by the Jews.  He had to link up with people for his own protection.

That theory may have been believable had he been killed during his 2Paclypse Now/Strictly days where he had created the most controversy. 2Pac had more politicians and public figures against him in those years than any other time in his life.
A lot of people, including music fans in general at the time just thought he was an arrogant loud mouth, and no one really paid much attention to what he had to say besides the minority (black community, die hard fans, critics). He never really broke any barriers down here (UK) until "I Get Around" - a 'party' song, so it wasn't as if he had a global legion of followers hanging on his every 'world changing' insights, and all his main hits over this way were party/club songs - I get around, California Love and so on

Besides, in 97 he was planning a collaboration album/compilation, and leaning away from rap, and planning on doing a lot more movies, with roles already lined up and in the works, taking away the opportunity of free speech that he was able to so freely have on records. They could have assassinated his character quite easily with the use of the media. He was on his way back to jail anyway for some time had he not been shot and killed by crips so either way, they wouldn't have had to go to the bother of setting this big scheme up, and he had to link up with people because he's always been that way. Digital Underground, to Thug Life with Richie Rich etc. to The Outlawz, then to Death Row

That interview is real, except the part of him sayin he was blood.

Now, for those who saying he didn't die on some street shit, I don't know why it seems so difficult to admit he really DID die for a bullshit, you know, there's no superman in real life.
If Im sayin everyday, ppl are dying for some BS, or in connection to the street, you likely going to believe it, but not your rapper ?

Damn, he did run on a crip right after a blood did whisper in his ear... I mean you know, like 1+1 = 2, ya dig?
President of USA can be killed, but not Tupac Shakur ?

Somebody on anotha forum did say something like, To LIve & Die in La was the tupac's california love part2. and in this track, he's showing love to LA & str8 mentioning some blood members. That's deep, that's respect & love right here.
I don't know how some of you can not view that as a strong affiliation

He did die over bullshit, and the people that killed him are quite happy that you believe it was Orlando Anderson or some shit.  There's a reason that it's unsolved.  You need to know that Tupac was a target before he was born because of his Mom's affiliations with the Panthers and many other political prisoners.

Here's the articla talking about him being extorted:

http://allhiphop.com/stories/news/archive/2011/04/14/22671481.aspx
AllHipHop News) New documents released by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) confirm longtime allegations that the Jewish Defense League (JDL) attempted to extort rappers Eazy-E and Tupac Shakur.

The FBI released the documents in response to various Freedom of Information requests for the documents, which until this point had been unreleased.

The new documents claim that members associated with the JDL, which has been labeled a right-wing hate organization, targeted Eazy-E, Tupac Shakur and others with an unsophisticated scheme to dupe the rappers out of cash.

According to the FBI documents, unnamed members of the group would call the rappers and make death threats.

"Subjects then intercede by contacting the victims and offering protection for a fee," the notes read. "The victim and their family are taken to a 'safe haven,' usually a private estate, and are protected by gun-toting body guards associated with the Jewish Defense League."

Former Ruthless Records executive Jerry Heller implied that Eazy-E had respect for JDL in his autobiography, "Ruthless."

According to Heller, Ruthless Records hired Israeli bodyguards to protect the business from Marion "Suge" Knight, who was also allegedly threatening Eazy-E with violence, after Dr. Dre left the record label around 1990.

In "Ruthless," Jerry Heller claimed that Eazy-E liked the JDL so much, that he planned on doing a movie on the organization.

During one office visit Suge Knight allegedly paid to Ruthless Records in the Fall of 1990, Knight warned Heller and Eazy-E to get new bodyguards.

Heller said he hired an Israeli named Mike Klein to head up Ruthless Records' security, since he had a "background in the Israeli security forces."

"The effect was immediate and extreme," according to Jerry Heller. "Somehow, the Suge Knight camp had Klein checked out and realized they were now dealing with a Mossad motherf**ker who didn't fool around. Suge vanished. His crew vanished. An uneasy calm descended."

According to the FBI, after Eazy-E died from complications related to being infected with the AIDS virus, the death threats continued until at least 1996, against Eazy-E's wife and family.

The JDL, which has been labeled a domestic terrorist organization, tried the same tactics with Tupac Shakur, but their efforts allegedly failed.
