Nas wrote it on his Twitter a couple weeks ago.

well then this certainly makes the track even more compelling if it was done back then.   

Agreed. He said he waited to release it because he wanted to show how people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. A sign that he's stayed consistent over the years.

IF that is true that there will be a couple Illmatic leftovers placed on the album, how awesome for us fans would it be to find mastered versions of "Deja Vu" and "Life Is Like A Dice Game" on the new album.....
