Waka Flocka Flame is quitting the music business

After Waka Flocka Flame hinted at plans to hang up the microphone for good by 2012, his "momager" Debra Antney has confirmed the hype is real.

While not going into full detail, Antney said the rap game has left a sour taste in their mouths.

RumorFix has confirmed that rapper Waka Flocka Flame is quitting the music business. Waka's mom and manager, Debra Antney, tells RumorFix exclusively, "He talking about quitting. He's sick of this. We all are." Debra, who is the Kris Jenner of the rap world, tells us, "We're all disgusted with this stuff. You can't trust people." She says Waka isn't touring or recording right now and that they are reestablishing their relationship as mom and son -- as opposed to manager and musician. (RumorFix)

Earlier this week, Flocka broke the news of his forthcoming retirement.

"This game 2 fake I quite rap after this year," Flocka tweeted July 6th, accidentally spelling "quite" instead of "quit." (Waka Flocka Flame's Twitter)

UPDATE: Waka Flocka Flame called into the Ryan Cameron Show yesterday to confirm that he is quitting rap. “Yup, absolutely true.  I’m tired of going through what I go through, and punk asses always rain on my world. There’s so much different haters, fake smiles, different hugs,” he said. “I’d rather work at Walmart than rap, and that’s my word on God. Yup, I put that on Jesus Christ. I’m not lying or nothing.”

He also justified his exit strategy as a consequence of the hip-hop lifestyle. “It’s something I could never explain to people because they could never understand it, ‘cause they not living the lifestyle. At the end of the day, the people who’s living the lifestyle could understand why I’m doing it.”
