Anyways, don't be too hyped about this album, last time Jay was making hot music was 8 years ago .. you heard the result for that Em/Royce EP , very forgettable .... I expect the similar outcome for WTT , just with much better production ... plus the 4 tracks we've already heard are far from being impressive

There is no way this is on par with Bad Meets Evil.

Still, today.

Jigga >>>>>>>>>>>> Eminem
Kanye >>>>>>>>>>>> Royce

Just my opinion.

And we already know production will be better in a MAJOR way; won't even be close.

Yeah, the production is what I'm looking forward to the most.

Jigga has fallen off hard (weak flow/voice, poor lyrics) ...  it's just less noticeable than Em who makes it more obvious with the accent , screaming and rapping about nonsense ... I'm just saying that I wouldn't expect a great album ... if it would have been released around the time the Black album/College Dropout dropped , no doubt about it , but now ?

As far as Kanye he's still making good music but he has gone worse with each rap album ... just my opinion

Kanye has never disappointed me while rapping.

As for Jay, he's rarely disappointed me. I was feelin' BP3, American Gangsta, Kingdom Come.

This album has the making to be really good.

I didn't dig Kingdom Come minus a few songs, but I loved American Gangsta & BP3 was very tight as well.

I seriously disagree with u wcsoldier about Kanye, but opinions is assholes. MBDTF was a helluva album.

Are you guys all smoking crack? Kanye West has just has released one of the hottest mainstream hip hop albums of past few years. His production gets better with each album. I am not a big fan of jay-z but the man is a legend. He has tons of albums and all of his albums have been platinum (correct me if i am wrong). He still delivers clever rhymes and can hold his own on the mic unlike other vets who have fallen off (snoop dogg, hate to say it but ice cube as well). This is going to be a hot ass album. All the tracks I have heard personally have been banging and have more replay value than royce and em album (the only song I liked from that album was fast lane.. everything else put me to sleep).

I agree with everything said here.

Btw, don't think every Jay-Z has gone platinum; at least 2-3 of the recent ones didn't.

I thought American Gangster never made it to platinum.

It is pretty crazy... Hated him a few years ago but the man is a hip hop legend. I doubt anyone will ever have 11 platinum solo albums. Dre can't even release one album in 7-8 years  or however long it has been.

Jay is ridiculously consistent, more number 1 albums than The Beatles I think?

I didn't realize The Blueprint 3 sold almost 2 million, pretty good in this economy if your name isn't Eminem

Nope second most to the Beatles

Most number-one albums
The Beatles (19)
Jay-Z (11)
Elvis Presley (10)
The Rolling Stones (9) (tie)
Bruce Springsteen (9) (tie)
Barbra Streisand (9) (tie)

Still very impressive to see his name second on that list. Especially because the music industry was much different back then.
