Quick question : am i the only one thinking it was Charlie Wilson singing right after the first verse on That's My Bitch???

I've been thinking for several months that it's Charlie Wilson, but after reading the booklet, came to find out it's Justin Vernon.. listening to the track, I still can't believe it.

Dope album, not much filler on here.  8)

I've listened to it 5 times, and I'm really liking it. I won't make my judgement of the album till I listen to it a few more times, and see how time treats it.  Good stuff so far though.

No Church In The Wild sounds like Black Milk's bounce in a different key... anyone else agree?

3.75/5 on my 3rd listen

sequencing killed the album, songs sound out of place
lyrically not good, but i expected that
musically its dope
subject matter is stupid besides like 3 songs...we know there rich as fuck..we get the point

probably will grow on me a little more after few more listens

not really feeling the album the way some others are.  Its not bad, but didnt really see the chemistry between these two I was hoping for.  Seems more like Jay-Z just tagged along for a Kanye album.  And I would rather just hear Kanye on this since he outshined Jay-Z on basically every track.

So far so good.  Not really blown away with anything.  I've been regularly playing "that's my bitch" since last november and it's still the standout track imo

skimmed thru it today. ill have another listen tomorrow.. some of the beats r dope, but the lyrics r fuckin laughable n unisnpired. Jay-Z in 110% bragadocius mode, but Ye shines on "welcome to the jungle"
"niggas in paris", "lift off", "primetime", "that's my bitch" and "Otis" are cool, n i like that flipped sample from RZA

overall, a solid album musicaly

01 No Church In The Wild f. Frank Ocean - 5/5
02 Lift Off f. Beyoncé - 4/5
03 Niggas In Paris - 4.5/5
04 Otis f. Otis Redding - 4/5
05 Gotta Have It - 4/5
06 New Day - 4.5/5
07 That’s My Bi**h - 3.5/5
08 Who Gon’ Stop Me - 3.5/5
09 Murder To Excellence - 4/5
10 Welcome To The Jungle - 4/5
11 Made In America f. Frank Ocean - 4.5/5
12 Why I Love You f. Mr Hudson - 4/5
13 Illest Motherfucker Alive - 4.5/5
14 H.A.M - 3.5/5
15 Primetime - 4/5
16 The Joy f. Curtis Mayfield - 4/5

very shocked by how solid this album was, might have to go cop this one

Sounds like a fair assessment. But to give out that many 4's & 4.5's & use a word like "solid" doesn't make sense to me lol.

what word would you use then lol I dunno, an album with a bunch of 4/5 tracks is just solid to me

if most tracks I rated were 4.5/5 and 5/5 then I can say this would be "near classic" or even a classic album in today's music scene, but that's not the case... just a solid album musically overall, no more no less  8)

What's with that little outro music on these songs? It sounds like depressing carnival music lol

No Church in the Wild
New Day
Welcome to the Jungle

Nope, I looked up the credits the second I heard it. I was surprised that was someone else than Charlie. And whats up with the Pink Panther type theme at the end of some of the songs LOL. Makes me like wtf everytime it comes out of the blue

But Yeah, I've been bumping it all day and the songs are starting to grow on me I must say. When you're not expecting a specfic type of sound and you go in with an open mind, it's actually dope. You just gotta open your horizon a little I guess.
