There is validity to most of what you say. But the reason I listen to his music is because:

-He pours his heart into many of his tracks, especially the introspective ones. Hasn't really been matched by anyone other than Pac and Budden in this category.
-Despite what you say, I think when he wants to he can be above average lyrically. The cat releases so many damn songs that a lot of becomes dumb downed lyrics, but when he's on his A-game there's not many that can touch him.
-Has a sick flow and delivery - one of the first things that caught my ear with him.
-Can sound good over a traditional westcoast, south, or NY style beat.
-You say he has depended on good production to guide his career, but have you ever thought that maybe he has a good ear for beats? That is a talent in its own, and has held back many other dope rappers that don't have that ear. After him getting kicked off G-Unit, he easily could have slumped without 50 and Dre helping pick his beats. But that obviously didn't happen as Doctor's Advocate had IMO even better production than The Documentary. Not to mention him handpicking producers that other people don't work with as much (1500, Cool & Dre, EP) who have all in time collaborated for some heat with Game.

I wouldn't defend a song with him and Gaga or Bieber if it sucked. If it happened to be a good tune, I'd enjoy it. But if a song sucks, it sucks. For example - Krazy, his failed single, sucked. His Red Room, sans maybe 4 songs, sucked. Ain't No Doubt About it, sucked, and had a Neptunes beat that sounded like it was made in 2001. Purp and Patron had some really good tracks but many throwaways. I will fully admit when his shit is not hot. I am not biased in that regard, or a "groupie" as you would say.

It is a regular occurrence to come on this forum and see people dissing Game, saying he lost it, he's out of touch, he can't put out good albums without 50, doesn't rep for the West, is fake, blah blah....

But EVERY and I mean EVERY time he releases a project, he dominates this forum like no other - even more so than Snoop and Dre when they have new songs dropping. I just counted on the front page of the forum and there are 13 threads about Game. And funny enough, it seems everyone mostly has positive things to say about the new music he's been dropping.

How about we all realize we have a very talented artist on our hands representing for the West, and while he may have many many questionable decisions when it comes to his personal life, he without a doubt delivers on the musical tip and is consistent as fuck?

I'm all for the New West and the new breed of rappers (particularly Kendrick and Fashawn), but nobody out here is touching Game right now. Stand up for a probable legend in the making. And before the disses come my way - I am by no means dickriding. I'm just stating the facts and how this forum has seemed to operate when it comes to this artist.

Truth....Dudes done a lot for the coast...I mean he gave Glasses, Jay Rock and Kendrick light...when no one knew who the fuck they were. I'm not saying he's responsible for their success...but he played his part and continues to make great music...how can you hate that?? He surprised me with this latest project...more substance than I was expecting...to me that equals growth.

Don't act like he's done anything for them. Eminem put out a duo album with Royce & it's sold 500K copies. That's exposure. Game won't even let one of his artists get on his album with him. Plus Game sits there & says how he's the king of the West Coast & nobody on the Coast can see him. Which only affects unity on the Coast. How is that positive?

Kendrick made a dope album, Dre co-signed him a lot, Game likely got jealous & threw him on his album. Yet everybody else he's associated with didn't even get a mention with R.E.D.

Its really funny that certain people cleary don't like Game yet they make sure to respond to every thread with his name attached (and if he's name isn't mentioned they make sure to randomly bring him up).

I always thought Game was the definition of a decent rapper...not great, could sometimes be good, sometimes be decent, and sometimes even whack. But even if I thought he was the whackest rapper, I wouldn't spend my time following the people who liked him around to let them know how whack i thought he was. who spends their time focusin so much of their energy on negative shit? that's some lowlife shit, really. sometimes i get into these conspiracy type theories, like what if the angry-at-life posters here are closet fags who take a lot of their inner pain out on the message boards? am i the only one who enjoys game records the most when he is just spitting gangsta rap cliches and keeping the rhymes simple. i don't really pay too much attention to his lyrics cause he really doesn't have anything very interesting to say. it's all about his flow/delivery and sounding good on the right production. i think it's fair to regard him as an average MC with very good vocals and delivery. this isn't necessarily a bad thing cause he produces a lot of enjoyable music, dropping loads of unreleased tracks and otherwise. i keep reading that dude puts so much heart and emotion into his records etc. dude seems pretty dumb to me, even his deepest insights aren't gonna be particularly inspiring or have any meaningful impact. his best lyric is 'fresh like ugghhhhh'
