Yes I'm serious. People just dislike T.I. for many different reasons. But "Trap Muzik" is one of the best hip-hop albums released in the last 15 years or so. Even Rolling Stone Magazine recognized that I believe. I think they had called it the 90th greatest rap album of all time. And it's one of his lowest selling albums, so don't come in here with that "only because it sold a lot" excuse..

I got Rolling Stone for like 4 years because my gf bought me a subscription and would renew it.  I learned after about 3 issues that their music reviewers knew dick about good music (I am into alternative music as well).  Not only was Rolling Stone not an authority on rock / alternative, but their hip hop reviews sounded like they were given by people who didn't understand hip hop or weren't even fans.  And really, all Rolling Stone is is a mouthpiece and propaganda arm for the liberal establishment (disguised as a music magazine)pushing such complete bullshit like global warming, and trying to convince everyone that Obama was the second coming of JFK.

So yeah I wouldn't cite them as credible.  In fact, fuck them.

Ain't any way TI tops DMX. The impact X made with those first 2 albums (which came out within 6 months of eachother mind you) hasn't really been matched since. He had no co-sign and he was literally the hottest emcee in the game from 1998-2001. His music was more raw, had a MUCH better message, and was wayyy more thought provoking than TI ever could envision. TI might be a better lyricist, but there was no message in his music whatsoever until he went to jail. Even then, TI's message felt forced. Hell is Hot, Flesh of My Flesh, Great Depression > TI's whole career.

In my opinion, nothing comes close to what DMX did on his first album.  T.I. has some dope cuts here and there but damn, he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same discussion with X.

X's only downfall is that he let the drugs take over him.  T.I. was/is more in control of his addiction.  I think the reason why he was taken back into custody is because he showed up the Govt. by taking the 'luxury'  bus.

Tip and x are completely different artists, both with their merits, it all comes down to opinion. Its dark and hell is hot is better than anything tip has made but tip has some classics under his belt. Younger heads will feel tip and older heads will feel x, x fell off in a major way after his 4th album, but tip is very consistent. All my opinion.

T.i crooked smile was imitated alot, and gotten alot people provoked round here - lotta fight happens after T.i gets on.. dude has carisma. Hate to say it, but he reminds me of a pac.

Whats up, whats happening is one of my favorite diss tracks- Trap Muzik, Paper Trail, Urban Legend, I'M Serious and Mercy is all good albums. (King and Ti Vs T.i.P, has some good songs, but the albums is alittle to mainstream)

doubt its a age thing - its more a where i grew up thing. Just like some people pref Big L over Pac.
