Stop, 50 had one album (Power of A Dollar). And a bunch of mixtapes. Let's all hop off the Cole bandwagon & stop making up facts.

"The Warm Up" & "Friday Night Lights" are not mixtapes; like 50's. Those are two street albums he put two-three verses & hook on every song. He made all those songs like he would album songs. They weren't some 50 bar freestyles.
They changed the game, but they were freestyles. No more, no less.
So in other words.....50 Cent had the career of Crooked I before GRODT?

Well Crooked I put a lot more effort in it than 50 Cent. Most of Crooked I's verses we hear would of been album material. 50 Cent just made some freestyles.

Now getting back to J. Cole, his first two street albums weren't some "fan pleaser mix" thrown together to keep his name relevant. He tried hard to put together a strong body of work. "Friday Night Lights" probably would of been "Cole World" if "Who Dat" & "Blow Up" weren't complete fails.

& K.Dub. Like I said, just point me to this greatness where my opinion of him just be "alright" isn't true? I figured you guys would be throwing songs in my face instead of just saying, "ahhh I don't want to hear it, I love Cole, lalalalalalalalalala".

Once this flops, Jay only makes him more mainstream from here.

Guess who's back 1 and 2 was made up of tracks made prior to get rich, and there's mixtapes filled with full songs made prior. Cham you're comparison was wrong, it's ok.

"U Not Like Me" was on Get Rich or Die Tryin', "Life's on the Line" & "Ghetto Qu'Ran" were on Power of a Dollar & everything else besides a few songs are 1:30-2:00 long lol. Those are freestyles.

& while we're talking about 50 Cent, look at three songs I just mentioned, all incredible songs most 50 Cent fans would consider their favorites. Cole doesn't have songs like that.

You guys are trying to argue the wrong point because you know I'm right about Cole, it's ok.

The only point I'm trying to prove is about 50, if you call what he did freestyles you obviously don't understand why he changed the game. You're entitled to your opinion about Cole, that doesn't phase me

Yeah, why would I call this a freestyle? I must be lost lol.

Great album, thought the fact that he was producing most of it was gonna be the weak point since he was starting to sound stale but TBH that's probably the best thing about it. It flows great like an album should, doesn't sound like a compilation unlike recent major albums such as Wiz/Big Sean/Game. Don't think there's any bad songs just a couple average such as the Drake song but it's the first album in a while i've found i can just listen to over and over without skipping songs.

Not gonna say it's album of the year but it'll be up there, considering it's his first album I don't really know what more some people were expecting, it's not like he was gonna drop a classic, nobody's going to nowadays

Aye, it sure is. Not many debutants on a major gets to do that.

Apparently he had a hand in every track on the album, additional instrumentation, arrangements etc. One talented mahfuckka and I only see him getting better.
