to be honest I can't tell if X is actually high on coke/crack in this interview or if he's just really burnt out cuz it's taken a toll on him

Show me another rapper that can go in and out of jail, strugling with drugs, personal issues and still throws the best show at the BET awards -2011-

man irīs sad ro see X fucked up, fuck the fact that heīs the most important rapper of the last 15 years, itīs just sad to see anyone that fucked up.
Realy?
hell yeah, look at rap music from 96-98 and youīll see what iīm talking about. everybody were running around in their shiny suits talking about how much money they had and shit and no one was putting out hardcore rap that sold a lot other then DMX. when hardcore rap music was on itīs way out DMX brought it back.

All you people that bought his albums just supported his habit.

get the fuck out of here, he was a junkie before he sold millions of records and he wouldīve been a junkie if he hadnīt sold a unit. you donīt have to be rich ro smoke crack, and DMX has had substance abuse issues since he was 12 years old(15+ years before he blew up). i didnīt support his habit, i supported the man that single handedly saved hardcore rap music.

Go fuck yourself. Its your fault.

Dmx's first concert after being released. House of blues in Dallas. Most of the concert is there in different parts. Still performing better then most rappers out there, so he cant be doing that bad. Also brings out scarface on the show.

I thought DMX was alright. I had a couple of his albums but I never really listened to that much. I just couldn't stand his "WHAT", "WHAT" at the end of every line, and his random dog grunts and growls.

I think had he been out today and in his prime, it'd be a different story, but back then there was still a lot of good rappers bringing good material out to select from. I think he's slightly overhyped today by a lot of people due to being one of a rare few that never really declined musically IE: Stuck to the same thing

I said it before and I will say it again: if Dmx would have died/retiired after his first 2 albums he would have been one of the greats. I will even go as far and say dmx > biggie. He represented the have nots in a time when it was all about watches and chains.
