Its gotta be said....he's the only golden era rapper who still has mainstream success. And he's still releasing dope music. Show some love. Post up some of your favorite Jigga classics. What's your favorite Jay-Z album?

One of the true GOATs of the game. Probably one in all of music. My favorite album has gotta be Reasonable Doubt for me, with The Black Album closely behind that. 8)

It's good to see Jay getting the recognition he deserves on this board. Favourite album would have to be Blueprint, then it's a tie between Reasonable Doubt and The Black album. Duke has so many classics and has put on a lot of the doper artists in the game, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Kanye, J Cole and hopefully seen he's gonna help Jay Elec get some mainstream recognition. Although I thought BP3 was hit and miss, I'm still really anticipating his new album, would love to see him work with Preme again.

He was a great rapper but most of his albums are pretty half ass. Every one of his albums has one or two songs that i absolutely despise.

Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint & The Black Album are classic albums to me...

This. Reasonable Doubt, and then I'd take The Black Album slightly over The Blueprint. I'd say his discography is about the same consistency as Nas. He certainly has no albums as wack as Nastradamus.

1. Reasonable doubt ( classic)
2. The blueprint (classic)
3. The black album ( would be a classic if the two neptunes tracks and the Quik one weren't on it)

Every other album is a mixed bag to me with Kingdom come and BP3 being horrible  ( though some people like KC so my judgment on this album may be too severe)... I have the same opinion for him as I have for Eminem ... should have retired for good in 2003 after the BA

While releasing an album every year from 1996 to 2003 helped him to become the huge star he is today , it did hurt the overall quality of his discography ..

He's definetely top 10 ever
