It sounds very generic... like something we've heard a million times in the last 8-9 years.

I wish someone in the studio had the balls to tell Dre that. Maybe Snoop if he was there. Something like this.

Snoop: "C'mon Dre dog.....This is average cuzz....You the man who always came with the sick new styles and sounds and now you come with this?!?!?!??! This sound like a 10 year old leftover, dogg
Now smoke some of this sticky icky I'm smokin, get in a zone, and produce some crazy shit which will set the trend for the next 5 years. And you better stop with the steroids cuzz, becuz you've been producing average and even wack tracks since you look like the Hulk

Dre: " >:( :( ??? "

Word, because Snoop always has such incredibly high quality control and only raps on dope hard beats.

I wouldn't mind hearing "Relapse" type beats myself , I didn't think they were that commercial and better than anything Dre has put out since.

you're right. the music on "Relapse" were the best pieces of music they (Dre) had put out in a long time. but that doesn't mean that's the best Dre had or the best that Dre coulda put out. Eminem albums have that "white boy brainpower" type of music in it so it's a little more tuned to what Caucasian's gravitate to verses tha "national nigga shit" that Dre do.

what's "Detox" gonna be if it's all sweat and tears and no blood?

in Em and Dre's defense i can't say it's always like that 100% of the time but about 80%-90% (a nice chunk/good part of it's not that bad).

the closest thing we got was "I Get It In" but it could've been engineered more on the acoustics side like "Hallelujah". http://www.youtube.com//v/Tjzw758oZrA - i liked this version the best even it's still no "Actions Play Louder Than Words" or "Have Mercy" or "Ride N Smoke" http://www.youtube.com//v/4cxn7AWBN00 http://www.youtube.com//v/kMfLll4KDa4

Id cry if dre released detox with a relapse style sound. That shit was mad average/real washed up white bullshit beats mostly. Infact dre aint released/covered a whole album with top results since grodt and documentary. He has had some dope beats since then even one or two on relapse but overall, dude aint put out 'dre' level music in a long ass time where u think 'this that dre shit, best shit, new shit, dre shit, that funk shit, that melody with layers shit' ...alot of his beats in recent times have been simplified too much even for dres standards, it like he stripped a lot of his own music out his music. Hopefully he'll be back to something of dre standard soon enough.

I agree with dude who said this sound like typical dre music, but i take this as a positive point for once rather than it being predictable because all recent shit i heard off dre been average at best more often than not. Atleast this got some thick bass and hard kicking drums, but it could just be the way the session is recorded but the beat in its simple form sounded dope as fuck and finally dre got a nice melody going again which suprising for dre has been missing. And im sure homie said he looking to add trumpet/trumbone or some shit at the end too. Beats sound real nice to me, def potential with this. Gives me optimism atleast compared to some of the music we been hearing.

The funniest thing is if we being real though, we don't really know if its a dre beat or not. One thing i would say though is the positive thing about this is that atleast it sounds like a dre beat. I'd take shit like this a million times over that i need a doctor bullshit. This dre, he know his fans, his sound, his sector...nwa, chronic, 2001...shit between...detox aint gonna reinvent music...its still going to have keys, bass, etc, lets just hope it some dre standard shit. And he does dre rather than trying be someone else, dude when he on his game...(been a long ass time) is unfuckable. Detox though it seems is never coming out. I would say i don't give a fuck but considering i just typed all this, i'd be lieing, i still check on dre, a nigga grew up on his sounds.

That's Dre beat. Give a fuck about who played keys on it, who wrote a bit.. That's fanboy shit in the liner notes if it makes the album. 8) 8)

the video is from 2010 and the beat ain't all that ... Detox hasn't been released and never will be because Dre is aware he can't top "2001" ...

that's true, I can't relate to either myself but I enjoy listening to both.

from the 2 singles from Detox it looks like Dre is definitely going for that commercial route but he's changed his mind so many times who knows at this point
