good lookin out for "I'm in Luv". Joe's first album is dope as fuck and has that vintage 90's sound all over it.

another '93 album that is very good IMO is Me 2 U self titled album

looks kinda kitsch and corny but the production is very good IMO and the vocals are on point

some songs sound like pure New Jack Swing, others sound more like conventional R'n'B

I'm also fond of that late 90's RNB sound that is prevalent on Joe's All That I Am and LV's How Long.

agreed. MJB's first two albums are classics to me. You Remind Me is one of my favorite RnB songs ever.

Aalyiah's first album is also my favorite Aaliyah album, I may be backwards or whatever but I don't bump Aalyiah except for "Age ain't nothing but a number". Old School, with R. Kelly flippin the "between the sheets" piano chords is one of my personal favorites as well.

I love Faith Evans's first album, with the cover of Rose Royce's "love don't live here anymore"

Also, check out Groove Theory's LP from the 90s. That was some really good hip-hop-style 90s RnB.

yeah true, i've been sleepin on them, need to change that ASAP.

another artist i failed to mention in the thread starter, Mo B. Dick. I love his gangsta flavored, semi parodic style. his not-totally-in-tune-voice fits the raw content.
