Biggie and Puffy were in it to make music, have fun and make money. 2Pac was in it for those reasons too, but he had another agenda, and for the people. He was certainly a more powerful rapper than Biggie, more iconic and charismatic, but as far as MC skills go, Biggie gets it hands down. If it were a traditional Hip Hop battle, Biggie would win.

If it were to go on raw emotion then 2Pac would have that edge. People tend to let their favour get in the way of recognizing the truth

Hit Em Up is a classic diss because of its shock value, but there isn't one "oh shit" line on that whole song. It's just a song of Pac saying fuck you and fuck your whole label. Yes its hardcore but not exactly a lyrical beatdown. I'm pretty surprised no one really went in that hard on Pac considering all the material they could've used against his credibility.

Then again he died only 3 months after Hit Em Up was released.

source?

I've heard the original version of Mobb Deep's "Drop A Gem On Em" had 2Pac's name actually dropped in it but they edit it out after his death too, and that Nas had some song on a mixtape back then saying something along the lines of "dropping Makaveli in his tombstone"

actually the original version of "drop a gem on em" had a skit that played before the song started. mobb deep had ra the rugged man (aka crustified dibbs) make this skit and supposedly it was pretty fucked up. they ended up removing the skit when the album was released since 2pac had passed away.

lmao. I rememebr that Ballerina thing. I don't know if 2Pac actually done Ballet, or whether or not it was just apart of the school of arts he was attending. I've not seen any horrifying pictures yet that have been leaked.

I think that if a picture ever did leak of him wearing a fluffy outfit, it would have been Biggie & Puffy winning that battle

2Pac clearly won though because he came out of jail, outsold Bad Boy, recorded songs with Biggies wife, and alledgedly slept with her, as well as dissing the whole camp without any real response. In a way it was bullying tactics, and was never really a fair battle to begin with

Puffy even said in an interview that dissing/responding to 2Pac would be a silly thing to do, and that it wouldn't be worth all the heat. Something about not playing with fire
