Well with rap being so boring recently I've really been getting into oldies and i decided to make my own pimped out 70s compilation. Here it is...

1. Move On Up - Curtis Mayfield
2. Get Up And Get Down - Dramatics
3. Tired Of Being Alone - Al Green
4. Across 110th Street - Bobby Womack
5. Rather Be With You - Bootsy's Rubber Band
6. Ike's Mood - Isaac Hayes
7. Street Life - Randy Crawford
8. King Heroin - James Brown
9. Winter Sadness - Kool & The Gang
10. Cruisin - Smokey Robinson
11. Footsteps In The Dark - Isley Brothers
12. La La Means I Love You - The Delfonics
13. Ooh Child - Five Stairsteps
14. Brothers Gonna Work It Out - Willie Hutch
15. Inside My Love - Minnie Riperton
16. I Wanna Do Something Freaky To You - Leon Haywood
17. You Are Everything - Stylistics

shit is dope front to back. Anyway I wanna see if anyone else will do one, basically cuz I wanna get some more song titles to check out.  ;D
Or if you don't want to do a whole track list, just list your favorite songs from this era.

"Ooh chiiiild, things are gonna get easieeer"

Gotta love that track!

Add these to any of your comp's and your set  ;D;

Bill Withers - "Ain't No Sunshine"
Billy Paul - "Me & Mrs Jones"
Al Green - "Let's Stay Together"
William De Vaughn - "Be Thankful For What You've Got"
Eugene Wilde - "Gotta Get You Home Tonight"

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Damn all of the shit from this period was really dope, but my favourite album I got from this period is:

Isaac Hayes - Live At The Sahara Tahoe

Damn that is such a tight album, he is amazing live, and the band keep just breaking into different songs all the time, is a an amazing album.

Yeah I got into that when I bought the Old School Friday CD from the first movie, then was lucky enough to come upon a soul/r&b record store going out of business and got a lot of vinyl from around that period. My favorites:

Al Green-Love and Happiness
Stylistics-Break Up to Make Up
Tyrone Davis-In the Mood
Roberta Flack-Feel Like Making Love
Stevie Wonder-Have a Talk With God
Rick James-Dance Wit Me
Parliament-Motor Booty Affair
Bootsy-Rather Be With You
Curtis Mayfield-If There's a Hell Below...
Donny Hathaway-Someday We'll All Be Free
Isley Brothers-Voyage to Atlantis
Spinners-I'll Be There
O'Jays-The Rich Get Richer
Dramatics-Hey You! Get Off My Mountain
Billy Preston-Bells
Chi-Lites-For God's Sake Give More Power to the People
Earth Wind & Fire-Where Have All the Flowers Gone
Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass-Hope That We Can Get Together Soon
Betty Wright-Tonight's the Night
Isaac Hayes-Do Your Thing

You should also check out Roberta Flack's version of "You Are Everything" I like it better than the Stylistics one.

peace,
tnp
