Who is the best player in the NBA?

Right now. not who has the best career. not who is your fav. i say Lebron i know to all of you Lebron sucks but who do you want to put ahead of him Kobe? 1 year ago sure. but he didn't prove he was better last year.
Don't get all angry at me. just state your opinion and why.

Clearly LeBron, he's been the best regular season player for years. If he doesn't play like a role player in the playoffs.. ain't nobody stopping the Heat then.

Yep Lebron is the best player in the NBA for 3 years and a half ... in the regular season ... 2009 and 2010 Kobe was better in the playoffs

Kobe still being a TOP 5 player in his 16th season is amazing though with all the minutes he logged and the injuries he had.

My top 5 right now :

1) Lebron
2) Durant
3) Dwight
4 a ) Wade
4 b) Kobe

^^^^ You would take CP3 over Durant ? I know CP3 had a MONSTER series against the Lakers but he was too passive in a lot of close games with the Hornets in the regular season ... he's a good clutch player and he had to be more agressive especially knowing who were the others Hornets players ... even if he's a PG

Kobe has been the best player since 2002...he's constantly elevating his game and bracing himself to peak at the right moments, while lebron still peaks during the regular season and burns out by the playoffs, never really showing as much growth in his game from season to season. kobe is still on top of his game and adds something new to his arsenal every year...lebron, to me, is on durant's level still...i'll let u know when he reaches legendary status.

The way I see it now..

Wade
Kobe
LeBron
Durant

I still feel that Kobe is the most skilled but the injuries and age are getting to him. As for LeBron and Durant, they have all the talent in the world  but haven't really proven much at this point outside of putting up monster numbers in the regular season.
