No one told John Lee Hooker to stop performing well into his 70s/early 80s. He kept doing his thing.

Most of Snoops life has been spent doing music. Why should that change?

he shouldn't have to retire. no matter how old he or any other hip hop artist gets. this is the only form of music that disposes an artist so quick yet you have people praising the beatles and other rock groups up in age. snoop just need to get rid of the yes men and make good music.

If pops like Jagger & Richards, Ozzy Osbourne & all the grandpas of Rock can still go at it today, why wouldn't Snoop have another 20 years ahead of him? So long as he's healthy enough to tour & most important so long as he ENJOYS doing it! & June Bug certainly is inspirational for Snoop!

Your point just isn't valid, or comparison to me as an 'old' LMFAO over 30.

So was George Clinton too old at 50 to be working on the Chronic and Doggystyle?

He brought nothing huh..

Yeah I know what you mean.

I listened to James Brown less as he got older, then stopped altogether when he died.

Makes sense yeah?

Not even to mention that today's "big names" & biggest sellers have nothing on good ol' Snoop if you ask me! The Waynes & Rosses & all? Thanx! But NO THANX!

Rick Ross has better rhymes and uses better beats than current Snoop.

If Snoop's gonna put out a decent album he needs a much better ghostwriter. He's just not interesting to listen to anymore. His lyrics are on some Waka Flocka level.

I honestly find it hard to be bothered about any new Snoop material these days.  I have most of his albums and rate him as one of my favourites but I think it's time he stopped dropping albums.  He has around 1000 songs and features at this point, what more is there to rap about?!

He should use Detox as his swan-song, much like he was introduced on the Chronic.  I think that would be a good look for him.  And then he can carry on doing concerts and other appearances etc.
