i just found this not sure if its been posted but if this is true that was a smart move indeed...

Hip-hop has not seen a buzz like the one 50 Cent has
generated since, well, Eminem's The Slim Shady LP.
That's probably why bootleggers have already put the LP
on the net. However, adding a twist to the scenario,
word is that Interscope has duped the Net heads by
releasing a fake version of Get Rich Or Die Trying.
Look for these tracks to be included on the retail
version: "50 Kills" f/Xzibit, "Tough Block" f/Eminem and
DMX, "The Magic Stick" f/Trina, "Trauma Drama" f/Dr. Dre
and Nate Dogg, "If I Knew" f/ Em & D12 and "Trouble In
NYC" f/Rakim. Because of the bootlegging, Interscope
has pushed the release date of the album up to February
6th - and yes, we will begin shipping on that date.
Meanwhile, with Tony Yayo of the G Unit away serving
some jail time, 50 has enlisted longtime friend, Wuteva,
to join him on his promo tour. Wuteva is signed to
Rockwilder and DJ Twinz's Muzik Park label. Lastly,
anyone else worried that it took 50 Cent only
four-months to record his Shady Records / AfterMath
debut and Rakim has been signed/stagnant for nearly
two-years? You know what we are fearing Dre - don't do
it to us!

You know its funny someone posted this. Yesterday or two days ago I was checking online retailers to see if anyone had a tracklist up and when I came across SandBox Automatic they had a tracklist totally different from anything I’ve seen. And it just so happens they're the authority on online vinyl with connections to every major and indi label imaginable, so I had a dj friend check up on it and he said it's legit. I'm skeptical but who knows.. the tracklist they have is....

01 - Intro (Get Rich)
02 - Patiently Waiting
03 - In Da Club
04 - 50 Kills (feat. Xzibit)
05 - So What (Skit)
06 - Undercover Thief
07 - Don't Push Me
08 - Tough Block (feat. DMX & Eminem)
09 - The Magic Stick (feat. Trina)
10 - Shut Up (Skit)
11 - 1st Single
12 - Trauma Drama (feat. Dr. Dre & Nate Dogg)
13 - Trouble (Skit)
14 - Trouble In NYC (feat. Rakim)
15 - Many Men
16 - If I Knew... (feat. Eminem & D-12)
17 - 21 Questions
18 - Back Down
19 - Outro (Die Trying)

i totally believe this, when i heard the retail bootleg i was curious about it being real or not due to the 2 bonus trax and poor selection of tracks.

Well...its been said before that many companies may leak albums on purpose to generate more hype and therefore more sales in the albums, most of us do d/l the promos etc but they are often used as samplers...
...ie hear the promo then go out and buy it if u liked it.
There are soem people here i know that have many copies of the same album...just different versions  ;)

So to me it doesnt matter if the album i download is the same as the retail because if its worth it ill buy it!

On the score of stopping bootlegging i think this means that the record companies have come to realise they cant stop the masses from getting what they want...so they just helping us and themselves along the way...better than trying to shut something like irc down because of it.

hopefully it'll be better, the bootleg out right now is one of the worst albums i've ever heard in my life

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Yeah, I agree.  I'm gonna go out on the line and say this is true, I'll bet the one we got is a bootlegg leaked by Interscope, and the real album will have the tracklist above.  Somebody somewhere oughta have the cd's by now, though, and be able to confirm.
