i doubt most of you people did

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

I bought Let The Rhythm Hit 'Em after I saw it as a 5 Mic album in the 100th issue of The Source. I bought 18th Letter after that. Never a huge fan but respect and understand why he is considered the greatest although I prefer KRS.

Why would you be disapointed?  Premo only did like two tracks on each of his last two albums and that's what he'll probably do on this one.  If he didn't sign to Aftermath there wouldn't be a full Ra/Prime album.

i had always heard Eric B and Rakim...but they never appealed to me...18th Letter was probably the first time i ever really listened to Rakim...

i had heard his shit but never got into him......when i heard that he signed to aftermath im jumped on him and downloaded all his shit......now i like him alot........and i think this new album is gonna be a classic.......and to who ever said dre gives shitty leftovers to 50 and eminem.....that stuff they get is better that most beats out there......so ill take dres shitty leftover beats anyday.......but this is Rakim and there is no shitty leftovers here he gonna make sure its a classic and its tight......
