It sounds like a lot, but most celebrities get umbrella policies that typically max out at $5 million (since those are easier to underwrite and more common), hence that specific number.  Game's not going to be writing a $5 million check... his insurance company will.

But if he was dumb enough to not get an umbrella policy with that kind of a bank account, then that's all on him.

True... but it's not only rappers who make bad financial decisions that relate to this kind of thing.  As an example, Hulk Hogan didn't have an umbrella policy, so when his son got into that DUI accident with someone else while driving his Toyota Supra a few years back, the Hogans had to pay a seven-figure settlement to the victim and his family, which was far beyond their liability coverage limits.  (Yes, I work in the insurance industry.)
