It's true. He also put his hands on a female too. Don't get it wrong, it wasn't all Daz, but he did bring in the bulk of the idiots. You see Daz's problem is that he never really grew up. He thinks people were, and still are impressed by his immature antics. You can see evidence of this today. Just like a school bully back then. Not the toughest of his group by a long shot, but the little loud mouth fronting guy in the group, the one to run up and kick someone in the back of the leg, or hold out his foot to trip someone up while walking past. He was that guy

For the hard man Daz is though. He would stay in his hotel room when Tha Row would go out, while they were out performing Chronic 2000 songs, all because he was a bit weiry of the area they were at. He's a bif of a coward, despite what you all would believe

he was too depressed about being left off the chronic 2001, me thinks  haha

The guy in the middle, Robert Paustian nicknamed 'Retro Rob' - was one of 4 Engineers who got most of the harsh treatment at Death Row from Daz and his small circle of outsiders. From a source at the label in 2002, who was also around during the 90's told me of some of the things that went down. These guys got bullied within a small space of a year, then when it came round to Murder Was The Case, Dre wanted to do his work at home. People would be slapping these guys on the back of the head, locking them in, even circling them, and harassing them for a beat to rap on. Nothing was reported to anyone senior, and nothing ever got done about it other than employee's and producers leaving... It was also a double fear edged sword, working there wasn't made easy, but also quitting, or leaving early and not being credited towards an album you know was going to be huge would have implications, and impact their future musical engineering career (IE: Not being able to eat of of a highly successful album for many years, and gain a good portfolio for future mainstream work and their retirement) so most had to simply put up with it.

Daz brought in these guys, because like today - He loves the impression both from fans, and people around him that he's this hard street gangster. There were others, but he brought a lot of BS to the studio. Eventually Death Row was segregated like that. The DPG section, and the rest of Death Row in one room.

That's why Dre never wanted or wants to work with Daz, or invite him to his studio to work due to the past

Being credited on a huge commercial success would give his career solid foundations to gain more mainstream and steady work to secure a very good standard of living. These guys made more than triple that of a rapper, and got paid for their work that they done. I can't recall which albums he was apart of though.

Funny you should say that though, because afterwards, he went on to work with Puffy, and Biggie

daz got bullied a lot apparently during the death row days too... suge's boys would come  in and whoop his ass... a lot of death row artists supposedly got beat down by people from suge's entourage. kurupt shed light on it while he was beefing with daz, not sure it's very reliable though lol

I was in the studio one time and saw Daz crying. I am like what the fuck wrong with you ˛˛˛˛˛? This ˛˛˛˛˛ told me that a gang of ˛˛˛˛˛s stripped him naked in the studio and pissed all over his ass. The ˛˛˛˛˛ said he was beaten to an oblivion. He was so scared to tell Suge because he thought Suge was going to kill him. I stepped to Suge and told him what had happened that Daz was stripped, beat down, and pissed on and that Daz was left in the studio in blood and tears and feared for his life.

You all have to look at this from Daz perspective.  Daz was still pretty young, maybe around 19 years old when the Chronic blew up.  Suddenly as a 19 year old he is thrust into the spotlight, and you've got to uphold this gangsta image because your a key player in the biggest and baddest rap label in history.   I don't personally believe that Daz was one of the cats bullying these producers.  I think it was probably cats like Operation From The Bottom (although they signed after the incident, I remember Dre complaining in that same interview that one of the reasons he left was because nicca's would be coming up to him like, "Yo, I just signed to the label."  And Dre would be like, "Nicca, I don't know you), or other lesser known acts on the label, or Suge's henchmen who were always hanging around.  But if in fact he did do some stupid shit like that in the past, then some of it is understandable.

Sure he made mistakes just like anybody has, and he's not perfect.  But Daz is a legend and he should be celebrated here at the site for all the classic work he's put in for the West Coast over the years.
